Throstle
My thought on the opening chapter What does Pate think he is going to get for the 1 gold dragon? Her mother is whoring out her daughters virginity for 1 gold, not giving her hand in marriage. Seems like if he loves her so, he should concentrate more on woeing her and convincing her to run away with him instead of trying to pay her as a prostitute. Maybe he is just not so bright. What happens to Pate after he hands the stranger the key is a little sparse in details. What do you think happened? I think he just fell down dead. I'm not sure the stones really moved, just might have felt that way. The author can sure write half a page description about the food that's being served but details on this strange magic of sorts is sure brief.
