Master of Coin Posted March 7, 2014 Share Posted March 7, 2014 Some of you may have seen the newish Walder Frey copper penny that we issued in honor of the Rains of Castamere episode last year. A few of those coins have started showing up as "defaced". Apparently some folk feel that they can cancel the curse of Catelyn by messing with Walder's face. We here at Shire Post Mint would like to discourage this activity, and so we are publishing pictures on our Facebook site https://www.facebook.com/ShirePostMint of defaced examples so as to shame the individuals involved in such superstitious nonsense. :cool4:Examples noted so far include a plain "x", a death's head, an image of a woman, a barred square, and a crudely hacked knifing.
