complexphoenix
I have a mail in which George says that Elmo's father would have been Cookie Monster Tully, but he thought it might make the reference a bit too obvious. Cocorus Tully, called Cookie by his friends, and the Monstrous by his foes.
glamourweaver
You take a series of books that the writer takes the time to create all these names and to go over the history of each house and basically takes one of the main houses and turns it into a joke. I hope nobody gets sued.Given that those are all real names people have had in the real world - no, nobody is getting sued. This series has been full of interwoven joke references since the beginning - my personal favorite being how Greywater Watch is Howl(and Reed)'s Moving Castle.Though the slipping of HP Lovecraft into this book as an deranged Maester from the Iron Islands was a nice touch.
