Cavendish
Hi I am doing a Remediation Project on why Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire actually has some educational value. I typed on an essay, and now my remediation project. I was was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to give me some literary examples? Or you could put in your own words why ASOIF has educational value to you? I am thinking about making a tumblr page for this, as that will be my remediation. If not it's okay, I have a back-up plan. Have a nice day!
HosteenOsteen
You've got to do your own work on this, you can't expect us to come up with the answers, but if you look at the References and Homages topic, for instance, you can find a host of comparisons of ASOIAF with classic, highly regarded literary works of the past. I for one truly think it is up there with some of the great works--but it is put o you to make those connections for yourself. Good luck!
Bustard
My political theory professor loved referencing ASOIAF to support his claims. I think you can make a strong case for its philosophical value. The story is riddled with Machiavellian themes.
