Lux
Well, doesn't know if this is the appropriate forum for it, but I have written and self-published a book called "The Goblin". It's a dark and gritty dieselpunk-ish crime/fantasy novel, centered on a drug-dealing loser and his girlfriend. Nobel prize next. :P http://www.lulu.com/author/content_revise.php?fCID=16069195
Andrew Gilfellon
Congratulations on finishing something. I checked out the preview and have a few notes. Did you intend for the Goblin to be sitting on a basin of water, which is the meaning of stoup. Or did you mean stoop? There should be indents at the beginning of each paragraph like this. Other than that it's not something I would be interested in, the style of telling rather than showing isn't really my thing. Also confused by what is obviously supposed to come off as a reviewers quote on the back page as it has no name assigned to it.
Lux
Hm, he's drinking from a large jug. My editor went through three edits, and she was pleased with it. I have to speak with her about it. That is not a reviewer's quote, it's the beginning of the backside text. ^^
Andrew Gilfellon
It was just because it was in bold. And when read it does not sound like it's introducing the text that is not in bold. Oh well, editor's are only human so they make mistakes like the rest of us.
Lux
Thank you for your information ^^ Checked it up, and seems like stoop is an exact measurement, while stoup can have several definitions http://www.thefreedictionary.com/stoup
