Makes me wonder if the creators of that show read these books.The reason I bring this up is because when I first imagined GOT the series I thought of them structuring it like Lost.Although I kinda like how they have blended the chapters together in a more linear fashion than the books. maxlongstreet Posted January 7, 2010 Share Posted January 7, 2010 I think the Lost format of each episode giving a character's POV plus a big chunk of backstory would work great with ASOIAF.I know that purists would cringe at this idea, and that it would never happen (40 episodes a season isn't exactly what HBO has in mind), but hey, I can dream. Using the Lost flashback format from time to time would enable us to get filled in on a lot of backstory and character thoughts that are otherwise awkward to convey, and do so in an entertaining fashion.
