Who is Jon Snow. . .

As someone who is currently reading A Clash Of King for the first time, I do not have further knowledge about Jon Snow but he seems to me like a Stark.

Even Catelyn Stark says that Jon and Arya resemble more to Ned than any other of her children They have more the Tully bearings. So far, It doesn't make sens to me that John would have found a direwolf if he didn't had Stark blood like Ned's other childrens. It is possible that Ned is Jon's uncle though but what seems clear to me is that Jon Snow is a Stark.

My own theory is that perhaps the mother of Jon Snow is not a wench or a whore but actually a highborn. Lyanna Stark? Possible. That may explain why Ned doesn't treat his son as a bastard and may have a secret to protect. Perhaps Jon Snow has Baratheon (Robert?) or Targaryan (Rheagar?) blood which would entitled him for a claim on the Iron Throne.

The whole affair is treated suspiciously which makes me think Ned may not be Jon's true father.
