Looking for input on web directory for Westeros

In the lead-up to season 2, we are working on some changes to Westeros (the site, not the forum). One of these is the removal of the webring, which has been seriously outdated for a long time.

Instead, we're looking at perhaps doing a directory of fansite. It'd have site name, site url, a short description and various categories or tags for organizing it. Which leads me to the following questions:

1) Does anyone find that at all useful?

2) What sort of criteria would be useful for labelling sites? Language will be one, but I am not sure about the rest. I guess maybe also ASoIaF and GoT, especially for sites that are clearly one or the other. Content type? Though the main thing I can think of labelling separately is art sites.

Any other thoughts?
