Humble Hedge Knight
Foregoing GoT and CoK to get to Feast and Dance more quickly? Feast and Dance are good, but honestly if I were this guy, I'd relish the first three books.
Beergod1979
I didn't know about the books and I watched season 1. Great, great show. My wife cursed it, "I'll never watch it again". We tuned in for season 2 and once again, Awesome friggin show. It was the Blackwater episode that got me. That was when I decided to track down the books. I started with AGoT and was floored by how faithful it was, but more importantly, felt more rewarded with a much more detailed version of the first season. I read all 5 books before season 3 started, probably finished to soon, but these books are hard to savor. My wife, of course, is still watching despite her reaction to S1 and now I get to watch her reactions to the things that will happen from here on out.I guess what I'm trying to say is... If you have any interest in this story at all... you would be doing yourself a huge diservice by not starting from the beginning.
