Edmure and Brynden will play major roles this season.The RW is 9 freaking episodes away (almost an entire season). So there is plenty of time to build up the to the necessary crescendo. However, like all other aspects of the television series, not every character is going to be portrayed on the screen. There are literally hundreds of characters GRRM introduces in the story each with a varying backstory and each with some part to play in the story, large and small. The show can't possibly do things like cast, give speaking roles and provide background for every single person mentioned in the books. People like the multitude of Robb's bannermen (and ladies) will get the axe in order for the main components of the overall saga to be serviced.So yeah, we're probably not going to get Dacey Mormont, or the Great and Smalljon. We're not going to get every single Frey involved in the RW. It's ok because the RW will still be epic on account of the detail and care the show will take in setting it up and executing it.
