MaHaBone
I looked for a thread on this, but saw nothing--GRRM has a gift for digging up some great antique words, and for using words out of there normal tense. I just wanted to start an unofficial collection of some of the best/worst/most interesting liberties and explorations Martin takes with the English language. I am routinely struck by the strange word s he digs up, or the evocative ways he warps a word.As I was rereading AFfC, I was struck by the amazing word leopine in a Jaime chapter to describe his cousin Daven. (having the appearance of a lion.)There was also a great description in another chapter of a character having a "beetled forehead."I'll post more as I stumbled across them, and I encourage anyone else to share their faves.
