Benjen captured by Others

I personally think he's dead. And why would the Others capture him? They did that with no one else, although admittingly we don't know much of anything about the Others.

And we don't know how they reproduce. We have one account of Craster's wives/daughters that says male Crasterlings are taken by the Others and transformed. But there is no evidence at all for this. And we have one legend about the Night's King. Which didn't talk about reproduction but that the LC of the NW "married" a female Other (which, we have seen none of those yet in any of the few POVs where they appeared).

Benjen is a Stark and I believe the Starks have history with the Others. The Nights King, their title as Kings of Winter, the power the Stark name still has behind the wall etc.
