Light a wight tonight Posted August 8, 2013 Share Posted August 8, 2013 Except for the impossible timeline Aerys plus Cersei equals Joffrey is a neat concept, so file this under crackpottery. We know that Cersei went to Aerys to have him make Jaime a King's Guardsman. Cersei tells Sansa that a woman uses what's between her legs to get what she wants, so we have a good idea how that deal went down. Now, Cersei is a cold-hearted woman, but maybe she has a cryo-storage facility in her female plumbing and Aerys's sperm got saved until after Cersei said the magic words ("I do", to Robert). Joff is thus conceived. Joff inherits nutso from Aerys, while Tommen and Myrcella are Jaime's and are normal kids.This is also a good example of Cersei's aptitude for planning. Having Jaime join the KG screws up the Lannister succession and infuriates Tywin. And Joff starts out as Worst King Ever, or at least the last century.
