juanml82
- Giving Garlan Brightwater over the rightful heir Dickon Tarly? Uh-oh, not particularly bright to piss off your second-in-command that way. Especially if you made a habit out of it. Claiming the Ashford victory was already a bad decision.Well, Dickon couldn't inherit both Horn Hill and Brightwater Keep. Brightwater Keep would have gone to Randyll's oldest sister. It might still bite him in the ass, though.
LordStoneheart
He genuinely believes it, he doesn't have to, no-one else does, it's a facade for the rest of them, he's not pretending, he's just that stupid. How do you know he generally believes it? Where is the evidence for that?
Pyrrhus
I don't get it either. Mace is easily one of the most, if not the most, powerful men in Westeros. And he's kept himself in power while the entire realm fell apart around him. There's a reason for that. You can say Olenna was the real brains, but she makes it clear he doesn't listen to her, he calls the shots, and so far his judgement has made him the most powerful man in the seven kingdoms, or at least top three. She's not called the Queen of Thorns for nothing. He has a big army because he only barely supported the Targs in Robert's Rebellion and the Lannisters in the War of the Five KIngs. Takes little cleverness to do that.
