WhiteOwl18
In which books do we learn about the dance with dragons war and the blackfyre rebellion. Are these two related ? No, the Dance of the Dragons has nothing to do with the Blackfyre Rebellion. I suggest you read this and this.
King of Winters
I forget which book we first hear about each of them but they're not the same. The Dance of the Dragons is about Aegon and Rhaenyra fighting over their father's (Viserys I) throne when Aegon tries to take his older half-sister's throne. And the Blackfyre is about when some Aegon IV's Great Bastards (Daemon Blackfyre and Aegor Rivers) rebel against Daeron II (their half-brother). The Lady Lannister
The Blackfyre Rebellion is mentioned a lot in the Dunk and Egg books. The Dance of the Dragons will be depicted the new novella coming out in December called The Princess and the Queen (in the anthology titled Dangerous Women I think).
