White walkers

Anyone notice in season1 episode 1 when the ranger Will saw the smoke from the camp out in the forest and saw all the dead bodies that the way the bodies were spread against the ground?

It was in like a circle then a line through it.

Then in season 3 when the wildlings and Jon Snow were looking for the black brothers they saw dead horses. And a horse head was in the center then the camera zoomed out and the shape was a swirl or something like that.

The white walkers did them. I think the white walkers are doing that cause they are trying to send a sign or a secret message to anyone. Or could it be normal?

IIRC in the prologue of aGoT the group of Others that kill Royce and the other two talk to each other and laugh. I don't know maybe it some kind of rune symbol or letter or word in old tongue or in their own language.

Maybe it's some kind of, " The White Walkers were here" kind of message.

And the White Walkers seemed to leave both the guy from the prologue and possibly Sam alive on purpose. So yeah, it is definitely possible that they're trying to communicate. Whatever their goals, it is clear that they are intelligent and organized, which makes them more interesting than brute force snow zombies.

I feel that this is the way of the tv-show to suggest that there is more about them than we are allowed to know now.

The book does that too, at least in the opinion of the Heretics.

Frequent the Heresy thread! They don't bite!

I wonder how Craster came up with the deal with the White Walkers. Did they sit down and have a cup of tea? Dammit, someone should have asked him before killing him.

And how long has he had that deal going? It seems like he's been marrying daughters and disposing of sons for decades, but has he been giving his sons to the White Walkers the whole time? What percent of the White Walkers are his sons?

He claimed to have 99 sons. The last one we saw (not counting Gilly's) was supposedly the 100th to go to the White Walkers. But yeah, are they all just Craster's sons? And why his kids and not someone else's? It has been awhile since I last looked at the Heretic threads. Time for another stop.

Well, Craster claims he is a religious man, and nobody contraddicts him.

Is it likely he the founder of his religion, that everybody seems to recognize and accept?
Or is it an old thing? (for Old Gods?)

Is Craster the first man ever giving up his children to the cold gods?

Or is making a Pact with the gods difficult enough to remember the deed of making one with them?
Is there any legend about a Pact with the gods?
Well, if this was the North of Westeros, we would have Last Hero story...

Maybe it is nothing.
