OLD NAN TALE

This happened a long long time ago. During the Age of hero's when people were living a long long time doing heroically heroic heroics. One hero was the Legendary long lived Lord Edrick Snow first born child of the Cotf/fm pact or so he was called pre fall of his grandson the NK...and then his name was Edrick Stark after the Nk's fall and ofcourse he was Edrick Snowbeard after the Andals invaded, since the Andals were not banned from knowing the name snow he felt secure. Anyhow the storys not so much about him as it is about his grandsons. I remember he had two famous grandsons he did. Brothers, the younger was Brandon ice eyes and the other poor boy the elder... saved us all he did when the others came. The elder boy that is not Brandon. Jon was his name, magic little shit he was, sacrificed his wife and even his soul in the end. Jon saved us all then lived long enough to fall, they say that always happens to hero's that live a long long time.

The younger one Brandon was awesome and did many awesome things while he lived a long long time. Had struggles to though... When Jon became 13th Lord Command of the Nights Watch Brandon became King. Not that any of us were surprised mind, battle always made brothers of allys, that's when poor Jon.... well you know the tales of the NK ...you see the nk's life history was destroyed and his name Jon Snowbeard banned, and poor Brandon had the same last name. King or not he had to change it. Did you know Jon snow is taboo to wildlings.? no? well Ygritte does, Jon Snow knows nothing. But i do

im sorry everyone its odd bc i wrote this as requested on a different postof mine. sorry though, and scaring crow your trying to argue my timeline doesn't make sense by stating a timeline from the same book series contradicts it as if that information was any more reliable... i think its established for the book characters and reader quite plainly that the histories are a jumbled mess... im sure GRRM took all this time to build House lines and histories and sigils so he could make a few vaguely interesting quirps that have no relevance or importance or connection to one another...

It's not so much the timeline issues, seeroftruth (and welcome to the forums!). It's known that Edrick Snowbeard lived after the Andal invasion, which occurred well after the founding of House Stark. A few inconsistencies in the timeline don't change that fact. The timelines are fuzzy but they aren't THAT fuzzy.

i dont mean to be rude but..... irony. "It's not so much the timeline issues, seeroftruth (and welcome to the forums!). so a man who is post Cotf/fm descendant living that long is hard to believe? Cotf live a long long time, you'd think their kids would to. So that is he lived after the andals invasion is true, but when did the andals invade? was that before or after the 999 lord commanders of the nights watch, Sams certain never existed> its hard to say when everyone and everything outside what we see exactly happen to a POV character. Even then its iffy.In asoiaf time line numbers are void, they are as unreliable as starks and you seem to think old nans tales are... i wonder what poor Old Nan wasting away in the dread fort would think of that.i think she'd say re read the books without any numbers of time and all the Before, Afters, Whens, Here's, There's. then make note of key events as you read then arrange them so they make sense. that's reality. its what i did via e-book. and it makes things interesting and interesting to talk about. :) i love this site ty for responding! :)

i feel people who doubt these kinds of things bc of timeline forget the story grrm is writing is about his characters, all this is just side sotry fun, i just dont think Grrm spent so much time on house and relations and so many little things just to have lot sof random stuff in his story... its matters it means something and my explanation is as reasonable an explanation for what it all means as any i can imagine. i do my best :)

i edited the tale for your enjoyment. i couldn't help myself
