It talks about it quite a bit throughout the whole of that book but iv'e not seen anything; or at least i dont remember any mention of it still or it leaving. Can someone tell me anything about it? Rhaenys_Targaryen Posted March 18, 2015 Share Posted March 18, 2015 The comet showed up for the first time, chapter-order-wise, in the last Bran chapter of A Game of Thrones, where he learns of Ned's death. Next, we see it in the last Daenerys chapter, when she hatches the dragons. Chronologically, the Daenerys chapter does occur first. In Clash, we see that multiple characters are acknowledging the comet, which, by then, has been around for a while, as it can now be seen at day as well as at night, while in Game, it was only visible at night. Cressen, Arya, Tyrion, Daenerys, Jon.. all discuss the comet. Jon mentions it the longest, for a while during the Great Ranging.. At a certain point, the comet simply disappears... can't make anything else of it. It appeared for quite some time, but then, all mentions of it stopped. Comets won't be visible for ever, in any case. In 281 AC, one was seen as well, and that one apparently appeared for only a night. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
