Sellsword (3/8)

  1. I thought this was the worst episode of season 1 or 2. Dany's story fell apart, and I can't see how they get her back on track with out heavy dosses of deus ex machina. The timing was entirely off between the Riverlands story line and Winterfell. And finally the Cercei as a sane women needs to stop. Sometimes less is more, and in this case the episode should have been cut. Too much of this type of filler works counter to the over all story line.
  2. I always surprised at how much credit people give Littlefinger, this is the same guy who told a story about the knife that was used to attack Bran, a story that could very easily been disproved. He clearly makes mistakes in the book and is not an expert at the game of thrones. I have no problem with the way he has been shown in the show, be it with Cersei in episode one or with the whores in episode two. If there is one constant in the books it is that no one is perfect.
  3. The one thing that I wish they had left in from the book was Tyrion getting Slynt to reveal his most trusted men and then sending them off with him to the wall. I think it serves to illustrate the power base that Slynt brings to the wall with him, important to the future story, and it also makes Tyrion seem more clever. Considering how few lines they would of added to the sequence it seems like an odd cut.
  4. She seems important, but in part because of how long she has been around in the books. I could go on with speculation about what role she will play, but it seems shortsighted to cut her out of the story unless Martin has given them inside information.
