  1. Yes, it's bound to be some Manderly type...though the speech thing could be a complete red herring. It was definitely a separate person than Umber though. There's two yet to be introduced lords as well as Lyanna Mormont. We can assume they'll all be on Starks side of the fence. I think the one leaked photo showed three house flags besides Stark on the Stark side, Mormont, some orange one and one with yellow circles on it...who knows, probably some invented families.
  2. No one wants an amazing complex northern story line more than me. I have a friggin tattoo of Frey pie with "the north remembers" under it. This is not that show. Umbers casting call was for someone with "a hatred" or something like that...he's purely going to be an anti-wildling type and his house along with Karstarks is a convenient just add water army for Ramsay. That's the type of simple baseline character this show writes. Osha, wasn't a ninja...she was just a casualty of a bloated cast and a shrinking storyline. Rickon is a plot device not a conspiracy,. he's motivation for Jon "I'm done with fighting...they have Rickon...I have to fight" to move south.
  3. This. Why would Osha be some stealth ninja sent in from the Umbers. People are trying way too hard to give this show a depth it has NEVER been known for. And suddenly it's going to pull this off in its "busiest" season plot wise?
  4. Every single leaked photo, behind the scene photo, and bit of casting information agrees with Umber not being in on it and we wont even go into battle spoilers.
  5. It's really not happening, that's the problem. Umber is not in on it.
  6. Smalljon sending the pink letter is far and away the most crackpot theory I've ever heard related to this show.
  7. Really? You think there was another black direwolf...that they found...just to more convincingly hand Rickon over to a psychopath that they already know killed his father...it's all a giant ruse?
  8. Smalljon Umber is probably the best thing to happen to this show in three seasons and the scene was terrible. I don't know what that means

  10. That's the point. It wouldn't make sense even for D&D so Shaggy has to be eliminated immediately for Ramsay to hold Rickon hostage. Whether that means Umber telling Ramsay "we had to kill the wolf"...or Bringing a dead Shaggy as part of the gift, or Ramsay doing it himself, you cant have Rickon as an involuntary hostage with Shaggy at his side. The wolf is gone. There's no way that D&D are not going to milk the amateurish "dramatically satisfying" angle of Rickon in danger as a means to draw out Jon Snow. We know the battle doesn't happen until episode 9...so that's 5 more episodes to reinforce Ramsay being "bad".
  11. We'll get a quick hand wave explanation of Shaggydogs status or perhaps he's just there dead already alongside hostage Rickon to be dramatically satisfying.
  12. So the sell swords stole the kings horse? and his generals horses? That were more than likely near their own tents? Not only are the sellswords ninjas who can "sneak" off in the night with 1000+ horses, they also can steal horses from battle commanders who are apparently unguarded and on Ambien?
  13. Also...why on earth is the Lord of Highgarden on a Lannister ship with Lannister guards?
  14. Did you even see/hear the exact quote? It in no way implies that Stannis was directly responsible. that would be like Jeoffrey swinging the sword instead of Illyn and afterwards D&D covering their asses with an ambiguous quote "when George told us about this". The bottom line is no one is going to know the truth for another three or four years until the book comes out.
  15. This is not true. Yes, those books were FILLED with "filler". There is no way they could adapt Feast and Dance "faithfully" and keep people awake. BUT...you most certainly could create their condensed 10 episode TV adaptation by picking and choosing material between both books.
  16. It makes less sense now. If the Boltons are an old northern house and they need a Stark marriage to "cement their claim" why would some up jumped outsider have any real chance? Because Cersei said so? He now has no dominion over the North nor the Vale. It's a hair brained scheme.
  17. Why do they need to be humanized? It's true...we don't know the end game for both characters...but we can fairly assume they're not going to be major players in the end game. Why humanize them at the expense of other stories. We could have had some un-named extras riding into Winterfell as Northern lords or just about any other small..inexpensive plot additions to existing story lines. It's a waste of peoples time.
  18. I really don't see the cast of Oz having Hollywood knocking down their doors for the most part.
  19. Why would he stop the double cross at this point. He's so deep in, the only place to go is up. Cersei is a loose cannon, helping the Tyrells would gain him equal ground since Tommen is a stooge to whatever skirt looks at him cross eyed and a freed Margaery/satisfied Olenna would likely net him the North as well. We also still have the scene with Olenna telling (someone) in Littelfingers brothel that they'll "never find whats left of him"...it's a pretty certain assumption.
  20. Anyone see the Carice tweet where she's asked who's the most funny ON SET and she mentions Gwendoline?
