  1. Interesting idea about dragons and greyscale. Wonder if Jorah might also pull a Typhoid Mary... It would be just as serious and much less gross epidemic to portray than bloody flux. The inability to save the large group of civilians from the flux was an important lesson from the books.
  2. Seems like there are a couple of possibilities for why Jon et al are on the "wrong side" of the wall. 1) the rest of the wildlings are at CB. They all need to initially be grouped up with Tormund, lined out on the plan and consequences of bad behavior, and then taken down to settle the gift. Turning a bunch of wildlings loose by letting them through at EWBS could cause big trouble. 2) Wun Wun can't fit through the opening and so they have to cross at CB instead.
  3. I think this is the big picture of the entire series. All of this waste over who controls the IT when the real fight is up north. I believe show Osha pointed that out in season 1.
  4. I thought it came up during season 1. Snooty Sansa as another reason Jon and Arya got along so much better. However, book vs show has been muddled up in my brain before.
  5. Since Sansa does her reveal so early, the show misses out on Alaynne Stone's lessons about being a bastard and book Sansa dismounting her highest horse on the subject. She was never nice to Jon (or Theon really), so now needing these guys is going to bite her in the ass unless the show finds ways to adjust her attitude toward them.
  6. Cersei has stressed this to Sansa repeatedly in the show and it comes up again in her scene with Tommen. Show Tyrion also pointed out how fierce Cat was about her children. I think Sansa will manuever and mold her children into weapons of Stark vengeance whomever fathers them. This is why it won't matter if it is Harry or Ramsey.
  7. Nope. I went there too. Also, Euron if we ever get IB back.
  8. Just rewatched. Dorne has magical properties apparently. Jaime's gilded hand has fingers twitching all over the place. Seen at least twice. Oops. :)
  9. I'm guessing Sweetrobin. LF got this sh*teatting grin on his face when QOT said our fates are tied. Otherwise, he could claim to have info on where to find Varys/Tyrion. Cersei would trade the QOT anything for that.
  10. Chaos is a ladder. Goes with show LF's explanation of Joffrey's death.
  11. I think Mel is getting shipped back to CB due to her comment about burning Shireen and will then be available for the Ides. I also think Mommy dearest will take it upon herself to burn her. I'm blanking on the episode number, but when Selyse and Mel were having that nudity quota bathtub scene, Mel tells her she is strong enough to look into the flames for herself. If Stannis starts to falter, I could totally see Mommy starting a bbq thinking she's serving the lord of light, and saving the realm, ect
  12. Ramsey has completely brutalized Theon into Reek and tested Reek repeatedly to make sure Reek understands the horrible painful consequences of not being Ramsey's pet. PTSD is a ridiculously powerful motivator. Logic no longer applies. Trust me
  13. A bit hard to keep up with the flurry of posts. Sansa knows that because of Roose, Ramsey can't hurt her in public. I love that she used her opportunities to get her digs in. I also immediately felt like finding out about Jon at CB screamed pink letter. She's bruised, but definitely not broken. She's trying to find ways to get out. However, she hasn't seen just how bad Theon's injuries are. I would have been more disappointed if Reek became Theon just because Sansa told him too. I think he'll get there, but it will take more time and effort from Sansa (likely also involving telling her that her brothers are alive as Theon reemerges). Jon kept Ghost locked up due to Varamyr in the books. Not totally surprised that Ghost stays behind to avoid any warg drama at Hardhome. Will Mel's suggestion of burning Stannis' daughter get her sent back to CB for the Ides? If king's blood is burned without her standing there, is the power wasted or is it floating around like the power bump all magic got when the dragons were born... or is kb just bs that Mel uses for manipulation... :)
  14. Heart rate increases and blood flow is significantly altered. Getting him worked up would spread the poison faster. I'm wondering if "the antidote" was more of a treatment than a cure... If he needs repeated doses, the SS own him now.
  15. Also, Aemon's death could be considered a gift from being trapped in a 100+year old blind body, Ghost coming in to save Sam, and Gilly initiating sex with Sam after he takes a beating trying to protect her. So many things that could be looked at as gifts.
  16. Bibliomaniac who suffers from intellectual bulimia.
