  1. I've just uploaded two files that don't produce thumbnails: Dothraki.svg and Naath.svg.
  2. As a reader of wikis, I'd love some kind of spoiler control, at least on infoboxes. It sometimes happens that I want some quick information about a character on some wiki and have it spoiled by the infobox.
  3. I agree with you. The name module leaves a lot of possibilities open, but it doesn't mean we need to pack the name with as many parts as possible.
  4. There's a `nametemplate` parameter you can use to specify the order of a name's parts. For example, if you want the nickname to come below the rest, you can write the following: | nametemplate = title/firstname-lastname/nickname The template should always contain 2 slashes which separate the prefix, the main part, and the suffix. You can leave any of the parts empty, but the slashes must be there. Hope this helps! Edit: You can find many examples here: Category:Character pages with custom nametemplate
  5. I've found one image giving issue: File:House Magnar.svg. The PNG render at 250px width is working fine (250px-House_Magnar.svg.png), but not at 32px width (32px-House_Magnar.svg.png). When accessing the link directly, a "404 - Not Found" error is returned. Meanwhile, inserting the image in a wiki page leads to the following message: "Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination".
  6. Which images are those? The copyright status should be corrected if that is true.
  7. @Ran Looks like I've been signed out from the wiki too When I try to sign in, I get the following message:
  8. I've already reuploaded all the known problematic SVGs under new names, but next time this happens I'll let you know.
  9. This is a general problem on this wiki. Sometimes it decides it cannot render an image to new, presumably not yet cached, dimensions. It's happened before with particularly large SVG files, but I guess it also happens with raster images. I assume it happens when the cache for a file gets too large, but I have no idea whether that's the case and how one might go about fixing it.
  10. I agree with you, I'd rather keep the Faith of the Seven star only for septons/septa and other brothers/sisters. As you pointed out, it makes characters like Septon Moon stand out for being both a septon and a poor fellow.
  11. It should now be fixed, thanks. You can see the intent by visiting the site on mobile.
  12. The responsive styling I added a few weeks ago for infoboxes and images in the wiki seems to finally be live. You may need to refresh to see the changes. On mobile, infoboxes should look similar to Wikipedia's mobile website and images should never take more than the available screen width. Let me know if something doesn't look right.
  13. Thank you for pointing it out, I made a test I shouldn't have saved. Should be fixed now.
  14. I've added the chapter numbers for Fire & Blood and The World of Ice and Fire in the {{Ref}} template. We can now write references as {{ref|twoiaf|4|2}} instead of {{ref|twoiaf|The Targaryen Kings: Aenys I}} The chapter and sections numbers for these books are documented here.
  15. @Ran Could you add the content of User:Abjiklam/update.css to the site's styles. It updates the following: Hatnotes and disambiguation notices will be properly styled Template documentations will be styled as in Wikimedia projects Plainlists will be properly formatted (Template:Plainlist has no effect if the proper styles are not included) Thank you!
  16. Could this be related to an issue I reported here?
  17. I fixed it. The problem was calling Template:Cite web with the parameter "access-date". Apparently the template only takes the parameter "accessdate" without hyphen.
  18. Unfortunately the CSS that is loaded on the site is still the old cached version (see here). Playing with the URL, for example by setting debug=true, shows that the new CSS exists, but it just doesn't load on the site.
  19. I've copied over all the relevant templates and subtemplates here: Template:Tree list Template:Tree list/end Template:Tree list/branching @Ran In order for the templates to work, we must copy the content of Template:Tree list/styles.css into the wiki's CSS. Since every rule starts with ".treeview", this should have no effect on anything else in the wiki.
  20. Creating this particular template would involve editing the wiki's stylesheet, which only @Ran can do. Alternatively, the TemplateStyles extension could be installed to allow editors to create template with custom styling without editing the site's CSS.
  21. The blazon doesn't mention an attitude, so I think real world heraldry would default to dexter. But this isn't real world heraldry so who knows
  22. Seems like the wiki has always had this one wrong: http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php?title=House_Bridges&oldid=20946
  23. I'm having trouble uploading new versions of some files. I keep getting the error message: Could not read or write file "mwstore://local-backend/local-public/b/bb/House_Stonehouse.svg" due to insufficient permissions or missing directories/containers. Could not store file "/tmp/phpj0sNhl" at "mwstore://local-backend/local-public/b/bb/House_Stonehouse.svg". This problem is affecting the file House Stonehouse.svg as well as some others. For the file House Hoare.svg, I tried deleting the old file and reuploading it, but now its thumbnail cannot be generated (see here). @Ran Do you know a solution for this?
