No we've seen tons of big changes all over the place. Gendry never gets sold to Mel and Stannis takes over Winterfell and Brienne never meets Sandor Clegene much less fights him. Nor does Brienne ever meet any of the girls yet and has yet to come close to meeting Stannis as of yet. Jaime never goes to Dorne and his daughter is okay in the book just badly wounded on the face.

:agree: It's getting annoying when HBO goes and changes every single thing nearly. Sure they kept some scenes intact but that hurts it. They should go completely different or go back to the adaptation.

I come here for the books and read this series way before the show ever came out. BTW Martin doesn't kill characters for no reason. This is often a misinterpretation of what Martin does. To kill a character off without reason would be bad writing. Martin kills a character off to advance the story.

Another thing I have a hard time believing that Stannis will be killed by Brienne in the books. Half her neck is gone, if she can survive that why not Jon getting stabbed?

There is Sam but I dislike his character almost as much as I dislike Dany.

Jon and Davos never meet in the books. They have no connection to speak of.

The disconnect from the books is irritating... Maybe Jon dies in the show and not in the books.

Another bit that irritates me is that Tyrion and Dany haven't even really met or interacted yet. Edit: In the books I mean.

In winds I thought that Stannis was at Winterfell... I read the Theon chapter. D&D are complete morons as they don't understand the books at all and are doing what they will.

I have to say Jon's death made me realize how pointless this show is.

He said he's not coming back for season 6 however he did get renewed for season 7 I thought.

gave it a five... I really hope Jon isn't dead and disliked the length of walk of shame. Am wondering about the mountain and if he's become undead. I really disliked the Stannis scene as well and would be disappointed if he dies so soon. Either way I think I am going to hold off on season 6.
