We've just done an upgrade, so it's possible that cached stuff was not working. Clearing browser cache may also work.

Cleared the cache to see if that helps resolve issues. If you can clear any browser cache in your client, try to sort that as well. Re: reply box not always appearing, we may upgrade in the next month or so once we get some more information about it, and apparently there are some fixes to the editor which may help with that issue.

Yeah, if you paste a link to a specific post, it'll automatically do that pretty nifty quote.

So I just noticed that the Sansa Stark page is returning a blank for no obvious reason. Anyone know when this happened? I'm not getting any error report explaining the blank page, so need to ask Sparks to look into the error logs. ETA: Nevermind, now fixed. Increased the memory limit of wiki pages from 20M to 32M.

Yes. Nevets, I don't believe there is a 'draft' function. My only suggestion is to have a Google Doc or something open where you can write longer posts that you arent' sure you'll be able to complete in time.

No. Invision is still rebuilding the database and efforts to estimate when it will be done have been futile. It'll be done when it's done.

We just did a tweak to try and fix the problem with mobile devices being told they don't support cookies. For those who had issues previously, please try again and let us know if it works all right.

Not that I am aware of, no. Possibly there's a plug-in or something. We're going to get vanilla IPS4 sorted out before we start seeing what mods and plug-ins may be useful.

We need to see if someone has created a mod to put an IRC client in for the forum. In the interim, you can get an IRC client and go to irc.noderunner.net 6667, I believe the default channel would be /join #westeros.

That's bizzare. I use Firefox as well, never seen anything like it. Anyone else see that?

On desktop, hover over their name or picture and there'll be a pop-up with the ignore option. I admit, I am a bit puzzled about how to ignore on mobile devices, since hover doesn't work.

I believe so, yes, re: password. I think the other issues may possibly be something with our email system, if you get some emails some of the time. That said, have you also selected the option of just a notification? Do you get those properly?

I can see that you don't actually have those options on, though. If you go to http://asoiaf.westeros.org/index.php?/notifications/options/, you'll want to turn on the appropriate settings for "I receive a message" and "Someone comments on something I follow", respectively. I recommend everyone having notification issues double check their settings. It's a lot more fine-grained and detailed now.

Which notification types aren't arriving? As to the other thing, that's really a Gmail issue. Not sure we can do anything about it.

We're going to be fixing that. Just been dealing with other issues in an orderly fashion.

It's a WYSIWYG editor -- what you see in the box is what you will get when you post. A preview option is kind of redundant. ETA: Will look into the issue with Tapatalk.

A couple of notes: We have enabled auto-redirect for mobile devices to http://m.westeros.org/, which will (outside of the front page) provide mobile users the MobileFrontEnd skin of the page without having to fiddle with changing around. We have also enabled CloudFlare's RocketLoader, which can help streamline the loading of pages by doing such things as asynchronous javascript loading and such. We tried it a couple of years ago and it did not play well with IPB3, but we want to see if it'll work with IPS4. Problems that could result will be javascript related, such as check boxes, buttons, etc. not working as expected. Let us know if you see any such problems.

I have turned on CloudFlare's RocketLoader to see if it can safely streamline loading of javascript and such, which should provide some performance benefits. I recall using it a couple of years ago with IPB3 and it broke a number of things, but I figured we'd give it another try now to see how it performs. If you see any problems, let me know.
