  1. Not sure what people are complaining about. Kit's been crushing it this season compared to his last few, if you read any of the major critics out there that's the consensus. Considering the limitation of her dialogue, Emilia as well. If you can't enjoy the bantering of her and Tyrion then you're missing out. Now regarding facial acting, if you want to see the queen of it, literally, watch Lena's facial expressions in the scene where Tommen is bemoaning Marg. You see a flood of emotions roll through her face over just several seconds. Beautiful stuff.
  2. Do we think Jorah will take the role of Barristan when the crap hits the fan this week in the Pit? He could be taken up to the pyramid, perhaps to protect Tyrion? Then we get the armored knight scene that Barristan has in the book? Also - maybe it's just me, but I keep thinking the fact the scale is on his arm - maybe we get the Victarion Morroqo injured hand/arm treatment for Jorah.
  3. One of the questions I ask myself, is what if the northmen do not care that there are Starks still alive? These guys know that Roose and the Freys betrayed Robb, are the hostages being executed really that powerful anymore? I guess what I'm saying is do we know for sure that honor isn't dead among these men? What if Rickon rolls up with Davos and Stannis is dead?
  4. Hayden Christensen is a terrible actor and it had nothing to do with Star Wars. He's not getting black listed for that script. I've got no issue with how Kit portrays Jon. Jon Snow is a broody character in the first place who doesn't really come out of his shell until he's lord commander. I've thought he's been at his best when he steps up and challenges the wildlings, and that will only increase going forward as he dictates the NW.
  5. They've done a very poor job with her story line this season, she orginally had a troupe made up of old, battered, and dying with a few good screamers left. Then the show has made it appear as though everyone is annihilated. But, oh wait, they aren't all dead, just the ones who were on Xaro Ducksauce's property (so where is everyone else). Just some crappy story telling to spice up what they screwed up earlier in my opinion. You'll see over the next few seasons that the Dothraki as is currently, don't really matter much outside of what were supposed to be a few key blood riders.
  6. Personally, I'm glad they are going off the track a bit with the plots because as much as I love the books dearly, I like being surprised to some extent on the show and don't want to be just watching the book. I was disappointed in the final scene, Sam frustrates me enough as is, but the Others looked different than earlier, so maybe they have different classes / ranks, because at the rear of the pack you see a second Other who is wearing a suit of armor (though maybe when we see it next season it will be the camouflaged suit) and has the ice/glass sword on horseback. Just left me confused though that they pass over Sam. They didn't pass over anyone in the books in that Varymyr prologue. HotU, I think they had to leave out some of those scenes because honestly, what can be disguised on paper can be very very apparent on film. I think GRRM probably wrote in the new scenes to help cloudy that up a bit. At first I thought the visions were to get her to stay there, but the first two don't align with that at all. Does she turn away from the iron throne because she doesn't really want it (is it snow or is it ashes)? She's beyond the wall, is that her true path? She sees her tent with KD, but she reiterates the prophecy that implies it will never ever be, does it imply she will die beyond the wall or find a new husband, etc. I was definitely on the edge of my seat, though disappointed as a reader, but pretty floored by the three scenes in the House. I loved Mamoa's scene particularly, I was shocked when he appeared.
  7. Sorry if already discussed, just getting to the thread - Maybe it was just me, but did anyone else get the sense the HoTU throne room scene wasn't snow, it was ashes? I may need to rewatch it, but to me I thought, hmm ashes, maybe she razed Kings Landing?
  8. " The actress playing Dany said fans wouldn’t be disappointed by her “big scene” this season. Sounds like we may get more than we bargained for in the final episode." I've been thinking all along that the reason the Qarth scenes have been so, shall we say, cheap and without much substance is because they baked in all their budget for the final HofU scenes, which were very detailed in the books. Plus you know they have to be budgeting for that dragon CGI. Same goes for the battle at KL. Honestly, my only beef has been that they haven't had Tyrion working on the chain subtly. If they just drop it in all of a sudden like an ah ha moment, its going to blow.
