  1. I'm left wondering who LF will blame for pushing Lysa out the moon door. Couldn't get enough detail from the preview of 4:08 that showed Sansa talking to a group of men/lords (?) to really tell how it was going down. Like many have said, it would have been nice to have more Sansa/Winterfell snow castle time, but it made me happy just to think what it would have been like for her to see snow again! I liked the entire episode, really, but even though I usually love the Sandor/Arya scenes, I thought the attack by Biter and Rorge was a bit weak. When Arya stabbed Rorge, it just didn't seem to go deep enough to kill him, but I guess that's mostly due to her just having learned from Sandor where the heart is so that it went in just the right spot, and the fact that Needle is just so much smaller than a 'regular' blade, it looks a bit 'puny' in comparison in a long range camera shot. Can't wait for LS. Some posters seem to think we won't get her till next season?
  2. A 9. The Tyrion/Jaime and Tyrion/Oberyn scenes were knocked out of the ball park, as were the ones at The Vale. Damn! That Moon Door is one scary piece of interior decorating, Actor who plays LF is SO good at being a perv.
  3. The actor playing Littlefinger is so good at being a perv. :ack: Wasn't bothered by the change from "Only Cat" to "Your sister". I just love Tyrion, loved his scenes with Jaime and with Oberyn. Really great seeing Hotpie again. That direwolf bread was truly magnificent. Made me sad to see the beginning of the end for Sandor. I see Dany has some new threads. Wonder why Jorah didn't get any (new threads, that is . . . ) Pretty scary with the two sicko's, Mel and Selyse, about to make off with Shireen.
  4. I loved seeing Margaery's expressions as the trial was going on.
  5. Yeah, the Asha scene was horrible. And pointless, unless it was to show Reek's more advanced disintegration, and that part was well done.
  6. Tyrion and Jaime were Awesome! Actually, all the key players connected with the trial were. And Shae -- I can't wait for her to get hers! ETA: I gave it a 10!
  7. That was the shortest episode I've ever watched! Tyrion, Jaime SO great! And Oberyn!
  8. Gave it a 7, a notch or two below my usual ratings. Nothing I particularly disliked, but my least favorite scene was the Craster's action at the end, which a lot of posters liked the best. Just not sure why we had to focus on the whole Craster's storyline so much this season, anyway, and don't understand why Bran, et.al. ended up there unless it was just a filler so the Bran story wouldn't be forgotten. Lots of things I did really like, though. I always love Arya/Sandor scenes and any with Brienne and/or Pod. Crazy, creepy Lysa - fun to watch LF's struggle to suppress revulsion while she threw herself all over him. Could almost see Sansa wondering what the hell kind of horror show she was in now. Can't believe we're already 1/2 way through the season.
  9. I wondered that, too. Can't wait to see unCat. Loved The Hound hearing Arya add him to her list. I'll be sorry to see their storyline end. Not sure how I liked the vision of BR, will have to watch it again. Seemed a bit Disney?
  10. A solid 9 for me. SO much was unexpected/different from the books that by the end I was on the edge of my seat, dying to know what will happen next week. Must be how the non-readers feel after each episode. I liked the divergence from the books, for the most part. * good to see Sansa wiseing up and telling it like it t-i-is. Littlefinger is so creepy. * nice to see Bronn advocating for Tyrion * loved the Jaime/Brienne scene . . . Is this no spoilers? Just in case * glad we're seeing more Grey Worm - budding romance with Missandri? * Tommen is just too cute - eyes big as saucers and obviously loving every minute of Margaery. * as someone else posted earlier, so glad we got Dany out of the way at the beginning. I'm already sick of her and we've just entered Meereen. The worst is yet to come. But I really liked Barristan Selmy's reaction to her rejection of mercy. * is there anyone better than Pod? * there's still hope for CH, but I also hope Jon and Bran get to see each other. Those Poor Starks. * the Land of Always Winter? . * lots happening! and happening so fast. I'm loving it.
  11. Ah! Didn't think of that, but that's gotta be it. Especially since Ygritte was on the scene when his parents were killed.
  12. Yes, my thoughts exactly on the rescue of Bran, et. al. And if we finally get to see Cold Hands, I'll be one happy lady.
  13. Yeah, I was kind of wavering back and forth between 'they've totally screwed this up and nothing really happened this episode' and 'this is a whole new ball game, I like that were getting new adventures.' I'm remembering in the past when I got upset about the changes, I finally realized this is TV, and they've only got 10 episodes per book, basically. I just don't want Bran and Company (especially Hodor) and the dogs hurt, but I like the possibility of Jon catching up with Bran. Not Locke, though. It's time for somebody to fetch a block for him.
  14. So, now Bran's at Craster's Keep? And Ghost is caged there? And Summer is caught in a bear trap? And Jon's on his way there. And Locke is first at Castle Black, now headed to Craster's Keep to kill Bran? WTF? I did think the scene where the WW turned the baby boy's eyes blue was kind of cool.
  15. From last season to this, I'd forgotten all about my deep need to ask, repeatedly, "Have I mentioned how much I hate Melisandra?"
  16. I gave it an 8. Not as good as last week. Disappointed somewhat with the PW. It just seemed a bit rushed and one dimensional. Did love the scene btw Red Viper and Cersei/Tywin. Great scene with Bran , but I wonder how much of it makes sense to non-book readers. Interesting action at Dreadfort btw Roose and Ramsey. Poor Theon struggling with grief over learning Robb was murdered. And, gulp, Fat Walda is really fat!
  17. Selyse: Their souls are with our Lord now. Their sins are burned away. Did you see? Davis: I'm sure they're more than grateful, my Queen. And, uh . . . Was Mel sitting at the head of the table facing Stannis?
  18. Damn! Thought I'd never catch up with this thread! Loved the Bran and - da da - Bloodraven scene. It's kind of a shame Sansa and Tyrion are now parted, just when their empathy is building. Great to see people's expressions as Joff's psychopathic behavior escalated. Liked the brotherly scene with Tyrion and Jaime. Sad to see Theon struggle with his emotions when learning of Robb's death. I see Cersei is honing her bitch skills, but I did enjoy the scene with Pycelle.
  19. I gave it a 9 - first in season is usually a bit disappointing, but this one had some jewels in it. Hound and chicken scene and Arya getting needle back as well as that horse she wanted. The statue of Joffery was hilarious. Oberyn is perfectly cast, I think. Master Aemon's line, "I grew up in King's Landing" and Jon's coming into his own. But two things confused me: (1) has the actor playing Pod changed? He just didn't look the same. (2) what's the deal with Sansa's new handmaiden running to Cercei? Was that in the books?
