No Iron Islands, no Riverlands, no Bran or Rickon and no book 5 material: Aegon/Young Griff or Kevan Lannister's assassination. Not a good start, but I'll be patient. If nothing of what I listed comes up by episode 3 (at least just one), I'll boycott the remaining episodes as I did for season 5.

I read a review online and with Tyrion's encounter with the Stone men happening, I can now safely say that Aegon/Young Griff will NOT appear. Two thumbs down. After watching episode 2 of this season, I concluded Lady Stoneheart will not appear either. It did however have Jon Snow elected Lord commander so I watched the episode. We are half way through now and I've refrained from watching some of the episodes. I'll continue to do so until one event happens that I've not lost hope from happening takes place this season: Balon Greyjoy falling off the bridge.

When I learned that in this episode Jon was elected Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, I decided to watch this episode (a rerun on TV not a torrent just to be clear). This was an event that takes place in book 3 and should have happened in season 4. With Brienne following Sansa and Jamie going to Dorne instead of the Riverlands, all remaining possibility of Lady Stoneheart appearing is eliminated. Thumbs down on that. There is still the possibility of Balon Greyjoy falling off the bridge happening and Aegon/Young Griff appearing. Unlikely of course but it's still early this season. Until one of the two happen, I'll resume my boycott of the show.
