  1. Next season should just be titled "Negative Population Growth".
  2. It's so funny that this season is being called the best yet, but the finale was the worst yet.
  3. "HODOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR" I liked Bran telling the Rat Cook story, Arya actually seeing RobbWind (which I felt was even more disturbing than the picture that was originally posted), and Tywin (as always). Everything else seemed kinda meh. So done with the Dragonstone bits.
  4. I feel like nothing happened in that 60 minute finale. Da fuck.
  5. This is the interview that you are probably referring to: http://www.buzzfeed.com/kateaurthur/game-of-thrones-michelle-fairley-catelyn-interview-spoilers I can't wait for Episode 10. Roose was amazing. I loved the little smirk and eye directions. Proper sociopath.
  6. Maybe he was telling a half truth. He did give Walder Frey a look when Roslin lifted her veil. Walder shot him back a shrug that said "Fucking moron, you should've met my daughters before breaking your vow". From Michelle's interviews, it kinda sounds like she is done with the show. Her response to if she knew about the Red Wedding coming was "I read the books and knew how many seasons I had signed on for". I think she is done, but I like the Uncat killing Frey machine.
  7. Considering that most of the viewers were shocked, I don't think they overplayed anything. Just because you knew what was coming doesn't mean everyone else did. I can't stand people on this forum nitpicking without being able to take an objective look at the production of this television show.
  8. Blackfish was never Lord Paramount of the Trident. Edmure was when Hoster died, but after the Red Wedding, Littlefinger became Lord Paramount of the Trident and Lord of Harrenhal.
  9. 1) Blackfish. Yes, I preferred him staying in Riverrun, but I understood it. He was developed as a loyal man to Robb and family member, so it made sense to put him in the entourage. 2) Arya. While that plays in the books, it would've been trite as hell on screen. What was done was effective. The reason why we were worried in the books is because it simply said that she took an axe to her head, whereas how do you show that in the TV show while being worried about her death? In the books, you have no idea if its the blunt side or the blade. Sandor's fist did the trick. 3) Roslin's lack of crying was due to the producers not wanting to let on about the impending doom. If she cried, it would've tipped people off even more than they were. 4) I agree, I would've preferred him to kill Robb as in the book. The drive by stabbing lacked a lot of gravitas. 5) Jamie is on his redemption arc. Bolton mentioning that makes like Jamie was the architect rather than Tywin. 6) Clive Mantel and the producers had a falling out, hence why he did not return for season 2. I really was saddened by this because he was one of the best characters in the TV show. 7) The hair comment was an internal thought and would have been the dumbest shit ever to say out loud. No one would've understood it. We get lots of cool little easter eggs as readers throughout the season, that would not have been an appropriate use of one. 8) Plays in the book, doesn't really play on screen. You need to understand that just because it works on paper doesn't mean it translates to the screen. While I believe that falling into catatonia was kind of a cop-out, I do believe that the self mutilation was forgone because of Lady Stoneheart. Same reason that Tyrion still has a nose. Her going insane would not have made it any more powerful than it was, it just would've detracted from what was actually happening. Michelle killed it.
  10. Stormcrows and Second Sons were merged. I doubt we'll ever seen Ben Plumm.
  11. How about Gleeson's performance? At the wedding when he was demanding a bedding, he kept going in and out of acting drunk. One second he'd say something with a drunken swagger, then he'd be as bone sober as a kid who has X's on his hands. Dinklage was excellent.
  12. The only thing I want to nitpick over is when Cersei tells Margaery about "The Rains of Castamere". Cersei references to seeing the corpses hang above Casterly Rock, but in the books, she was not even born yet. House Reyne and Tarbeck were annihilated in 260AL and Jamie + Cersei were born in 266AL.
  13. If Sansa wouldn't kneel, it would've just insulted Tyrion and gave pleasure to other Lannisters (sans Tywin). Stupid point to nitpick about. Also, viewers would've hated Sansa for it, and quite frankly after next weeks episode, they'll need to cling to all the Stark love they can.
  14. This shit redeemed the season in my eyes. So good! "Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall, and not a soul to hear." 2 WEEKS!
  15. But it would screw up the producers redemption arc that Jaime is already on.
  16. I remember reading somewhere that Dontos had scenes that were filmed but not put in. I think they just made a casting blunder and the actor couldn't give them what they needed when they got to editing. He was a really shitty Dontos in the first episode.
  17. Man, what a let down. I watched Blackwater probably 10 times, but I have no drive to watch this finale again. I loved how ASOIAF became Narnia during the HOTU scene. Sike. That shit was weaksauce. And the stupid vision of Drogo was pointless. Best part of the episode was Dinklage's crying. That dude is an insane actor, he just pulls at the heart strings. This could've been the best episode of the scene (even after the high octane Blackwater). They just dropped the ball big time. I'd love to see D&D put a good spin on it, as I'm sure some of the reviews that come out won't be as glowing as previous episodes.
  18. Did anyone else note the slip up the writers had in this episode? Karstark - "I would carve out my heart and offer it to The Father if he would let my sons wake from their graves". Karstark is a man of the North! A worshiper of the Weirwoods.
  19. This Jeyne/Talisa business is nothing short of an eternal mindfuck.
  20. See, I thought the real shocker would be if the letters were coming from Roose Bolton. I bet they want you to think its coming from the foreign whooooore (say it like on the Sopranos!), but its really coming from one of his commanders. It'll make sense when Roose changes sides at the end of next season.
  21. On another subject, the preview of Blackwater looks PHENOMENAL.
  22. I must say, after pining for an episode all week long, I feel so let down. Calm before the storm? More like put into a coma. And Talisa is staying as Talisa with even more stories of Volantis. Who the hell knows who this broad is.
  23. This episode has sucked so far. Done with this Volantis bullshit.
