  1. Mostly to screw with those who gave it 1. In honesty, I would have given it a 6-7, like the rest of the season.
  2. Wow, so much butthurt... So many 1 votes... Anyway, they finally got to the Blind Beth part of Arya's storyline. So that's something. With Stannis, I'm leaning more towards not dead, main reason being that when you kill one of your main characters, you at least show a body, or show somebody confirming the death. However, maybe they haven't decided what to do with Stannis and that's why it's uncertain. Sansa and Theon, it's about time. And that annoying psycho no one cared about is finally dead... Dorne... Is this really what they were talking about, that they will have a WTF moment that would save them or something? They just freakin' stood there. What a waste of a cast. Oh, and Myrcella is dead (unless Tristane can whip out some magical Dornish tears to save her). I don't really care about this death, although their conversation was a bit touching. Well, Jon finally got the D. As in daggers. And it was... OK. Not as good as in the book, but eh... After dropping massive hints all season and having Ollie look constipated every time they had a scene together, painting him as an obvious traitorous little shit, we finally got to the point. To be honest, the bigger shock would have been not to go through with it, or have Mel (so conveniently present) give him a fiery smooch. Anyway, it is what it is. Unfortunately, I read somewhere that Kit said he will not be appearing next season, which makes me think that he will spend season 6 inside Ghost, possibly leading to a rez in 7. Cersei' walk... Pretty well done. And Ser Robert was quite imposing. 9/10, because I want to mess with all the Butthurt Betties out there who gave it a 1 just because their crush favorite character just bit the big one.
  3. Wow... Imagine how many more people would have voted 1 if Theon had been ordered to do what he did in the books. Arya - loved the face vault, and the fact that they actually crafted hundreds of faces for that one scene... Fantastic. He rest is pretty much OK Jorah and Tyrion - Interesting discussion about Dani and whether she is fit to rule. Jorah's acting when he learns about his father was great. Mr. Ecko enslaving them was... OK Dorne - utter garbage, from the love banter to the Sand Snake clone army battle (although at least we didn't get any Wu Shu spear fighting, it was more realistic). The only good thing that came out of it was Bronn introducing The Dornishman's Wife to the show. KL - It's nice to have the Thorn back in Cersei's ass and their banter, but the rest is pretty meh. Although now we begin to glimpse LF's strategy. Let Stannis and Roose duke it out, hoping that Stannis will prevail, then alongside the Vale and Riverlands (which have completely disappeared from the show) overthrow the Lannisters. Sansa - Mehranda should be Miranda's new name. The wedding was fairly well done, the bedding as well. I was sure they would go full-on Jeyne with Sansa and they're getting there. The rape was disturbing in a good way, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere and then focusing in on Theon while it was proceding. It warms my heart that they cut so much good stuff from the books, but they left the rapes just as they were. Thanks, D&D. Rolled a solid 20 there. I gave the episode a 7, because why not? 7 is the definition of mediocre, which is what most of this episode averaged out to.
  4. All. About 2 times. A year ago. OK, I was going to write something else, but I went and re-read the RW. Really didn't catch the reference. When I read that first, I associated the pink cloak with Bolton, but not with Roose, so that's why it stuck in my mind that yea, someone from the Dreadfort did it. Yea, it was Roose. Sorry for the confusion. People make mistakes.
  5. 10! I was a little afraid there that they would kill off the Blackfish, but thankfully the call of nature saved him. The wedding was just perfect. Grey Wind's death was just so brutal. Didn't even have the chance to fight back... Talissa's death clearly shoots down the whole Switcharoo theory from the books, unfortunately. Robb's death was spot on, even though I am kinda sad that they made Roose do the dirty deed. In the book he wouldn't have dirtied his hands like that. Just re-read the RW and I completely missed that. I thought it was just some Bolton man. Apologies for the confusion. Cat's reaction at the end and her death were spot on. You can see the instant her heart broke (aka turned to stone). The stuff in Yunkai... meh-ish but still good. The Jon stuff... a little disappointed that Ygritte didn't get a shot off, but still it was also good. Bran... The departure of Rickon was just beautiful. That shot in which they went off into the night with that sky in front of them... Hmm...Maybe I should have given it a 9... Eh, too late...
  6. Does anyone else think that Melissandre learning about Beric's rezzes is confirmation that she will rez Jon in book 6? To me at least it makes a lot of sense.
  7. I am kind of sad that they've eliminated Willas Tyrell (even if we don't see him) and that he's been replaced in the plot by Loras. Also I hope they'll make Loras a King's Guard sooner or later, to not lose some scenes with the Captain later on. Also, where are the Dornish? At least reference them, because they must be coming towards King's Landing as all of this takes place. I was disappointed that Tywin didn't suggest the Red Viper as a possible husband for Cersei. That would have been a good way to introduce the character. THEY CUT OUT PATCHFACE AND EDRIC STORM! THE FUCK? Also, I didn't care much for the way the Selise-Stannis-Shireen relationship was presented. And do we really need more Fifty Shades of Loras? I'm not a huge fan and I'm not judging, but it's very gratuitous and also it denigrates his character by making him betray a family plot to this random squire he just met and banged. Now, the good stuff: Karstark execution spot on, Jaime confessing to Brienne straight from the book, Beric vs. the Hound great, Jon+Ygritte bow-chika-bow-wow, Grey Worm scene spot on. Despite all those little faults, it's a good episode.
  8. Are the notes in the first post the only info on the chapter? There aren't any audio/video recordings of the reading so that someone may transcribe the chapter to text?
