I absolutely hate, hate, hate the Shae arc. It's cheesy, weak, and totally ruins the whole character arc of the story's primary protagonist. Why wouldn't Tyrion just tell Shae her life is in imminent danger? The whole romcom idiot plot is bad enough, but worse still it makes her eventual actions sympathetic rather that shocking. For me this is when the show has jumped the shark.
