  1. I haven't seen it myself yet, but from what I've read I am a little disappointed by some things i.e. no Mance, not enough Jaime... Still, I love the show more than the books and I agree with you that most people will be back, I was just saying that that guy had claimed he was "done with the show."
  2. I thought you'd rated it 5 though and said "nothing caught my eye". Maybe some of the bits you missed would have been a real game changer for you! Who knows?!
  3. And yet I have a dark suspicion that you'll be back and complaining about the show next season!
  4. Nice, balanced review! Very fair in my opinion.
  5. Can't comment yet as I won't be watching the episode until tomorrow, but does it appear to anyone else that they must have already filmed some scenes for Season 4? As far as I can tell, Lysa Arryn was credited to be in this series again and Mance was supposed to appear in one more episode if I remember correctly. Have they just been cut from this season?
  6. Disagree with your bit about Talisa ;) (I really like her!) but otherwise a great review!!
  7. And yet every time they bring it in the forums collapse! Ah well, we do what we must!
  8. As a wild thought, maybe that's because you knew it was going to happen? Almost every professional critic has said what a wonderful job they did of creating suspense.
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_58FRwSG9Y Don't watch this video if you want to be able to feel the same emotional impact at any point in the future!
  10. To be honest, I think this video completely encapsulates the overwhelming tragedy that was present in the whole episode. #RIPKingInTheNorth
  11. The comment Cat made about Ned not wanting to break a man’s jaw on their wedding day during the bedding! It’s so obvious now, he was talking about Roose! Ned must have known how Roose felt and so separated him from his one true love!
  12. That said, he might have just fancied a quick drink to ease the tension. If so, he has brains as well as his undeniable prowess with a sword!
  13. He did look a tiny bit drunk to me if I'm completely honest! :P That said, it didn't spoil anything for me, he's now the hard drinking and harder hitting Ser Barristan Selmy, the greatest fighter the Seven Kingdoms has ever seen.
  14. I’m sorry, but there absolutely is. To dock points because of a few minor changes? I know I always disagree with your ratings for the show, but given the incredible response this has garnered from the entire world I like to think I can say this with complete assurance - the book is by no means everything.
  15. I love the Northern Story. To me, getting to see more of Robb Stark in the TV series has really helped me empathise with his plight. As for Cat, she's been a background figure and despite this Michelle Fairley manges to convey her emotions through some excellent non-verbal acting. Remember, she's a POV character in the books so a lot of what some people are basing their complaints on is the fact that we don't hear her internal thoughts. Can't wait for the Red Wedding, in a macabre kind of way.
