Just a question, since I haven't rewatched (nor read the whole thread): When the bear appears, is it a random wildling running back from it? Or one of our seven boys? I couldn't figure who of the seven ones it was. Shortly, some extra wildlings appeared to be walking with the group, to be killed soon after. Or is it the very same one that got eaten by the bear?

Far better than the first episode. I have to admit I stood up and jumped when Jon hit Little Finger. Jon choking LF was like Ned choking him in season 1. I loved it. Liked a lot that Hot Pie made his come back <3 Now I want some Gendry. The Nymeria scene was a bit weak as how it ended, but good, not bad. The suspense when Arya started feeling cold was great. For a second I thought a white walker had made its way south the Wall. Overall, an 8.

A 6 for me. It was ok but not impressive. Nothing happened that we didn't expect. I liked Sansa and Jon's dialogues, Arya being badass is always fine, and finally, Dany reaching Westeros was like: FINALLY

An 8 for now, until the rewatch. I liked it, some scenes really moved me, like Tommen jumping off the tower, and Tyrion getting named Hand of the Queen. But the teleportation of Varys and Arya really got me angry. Arya is a superhuman recovering really fast from several stabbings (too bad Jon didn't pull off the same trick), and travelling super fast through a sea and half a continent, to get revenge in a really complicated way (yeah, I know frey pies were too good to be missed). Varys, just stating the obvious, Dany is departing Essos pretty much knowing about Cersei being crowned after burning the Sept, Jon being crowned in the north, and Walder Frey being misterioulsy killed (if people can move this fast, news also have to). Loved the North scenes, I really like seeing Jon and Sansa together, like a nice pack. No, I don't see any clue of Sansa being jealous of Jon nor hiding any scheme to bring him down. I did notice that she doesn't know what to do with LF now...

@Lady Snowsand Thanks, I didn't remember. (ETA:discussion not for this thread, but I still find it difficult to believe everyone just accepted the kidnapping version. After Robert won, it was logical just to reproduce the same tale, but it's not like people didn't elope, ever.)

Sorry, what conversation between Sansa and LF concerns Jon's parents? I can't remeber about it. As far as I'm concerned, in the show only Bran and Meera have some clues about it.

A 9. Really good, I did enjoy it Jon punching Ramsay was very satisfying. I have nothing particular to rant right now, but I'll probably find something in a rewatch XD

A 6.5, so it falls into a 7. Arya's scenes were the weakest part. My mom (unsullied) and I were both just grimacing at the screen muttering wtf. It made no sense. I could rant for hours, but I'm sure other posters have already pointed out how disappointing the resolution of her story arc in Braavos was. This is what it lowered my rating sadly... Tyrion, even as I think Dinklage is great, has been having the same scenes with no chemistry (nor plot point) in the whole season. Him getting drunk and trying to kill boredom with boring GreyWorm and Missandei?? Nope. Cersei's "I choose violence" was my favourite part, because though I like the calm Cersei Headly plays, I really wanted to see her doing something extreme. Dany's entrance was exciting just because it was unexpected her falling from the sky with a look of "wtf happened here?" like she didn't expect it. Jaime+ Brienne, Bronn+Pod were also high points in the episode. Black fish was fine till he refuses to run away. Good they killed him right away. Showing that tBwB didn't turn into mundane killers was also a nice touch, and featuring Thoros is always a go go with me.

I gave it a 7. Sam and Gilly story was nice, and that plus the KL plot was the most interesting thing, apart from the big revelation that was Coldhands as Benjen. Arya leaving the FM was kinda meh imo, but I really like how it was acted. Even though sometimes I don't particularly enjoy the scene plotwise, it's amazing how well all the crew manage to bring a really good scene, considering the acting, the costumes, etc. I thought the Dany&Drogo scene should have happened right after the burning scene two episodes ago. Why is she trying to asure the Dothraki if they're already following her? It seemed just a way to show off cgi dragon and remind us that Dany should head Westeros already.

Thank you for this clarification (this time without sarcasm). And I completely agree, there's too little respect for different opinions around here sometimes (and that's the reason why I quoted you before). I know this behaviour is common here, but I'm glad you came back to clarify it.

So those of us who enjoyed it -and consider it a good show despite the flaws- we are all hypnotized by flashy effects and can't think for ourselves. Good thing your comments enlighten us all. Thank you so much for your consideration

Oh, so much this. I do hope that somehow all his shit is gonna be somehow explained. A girl hopes. Welcome to the forums Yes, Damphair is the Greyjoy kids uncle, but as far as I can remember he's not introduced like that in the show. I don't even recall him being named yet.

A good 9. I watched it with my dad, who doesn't follow the show. I asked him not to talk for that hour, so he read the newspaper while I watched. At the end of the episode I was squeaking and my dad had dropped the paper and we were both watching the screen like in a spell. Amazing. It had its "not so wow" moments. Daenerys scenes lacked a bit of explanation of how she got the khalassar to follow her (yeah, I know the unburnt excuse, but well, I felt that was a bit simple and rushed). To be honest, despite that, I thought Emilia Clarke was really gorgeous, and I didn't dislike the cheesy scene where Jorah is sent away in a gallant way. Blame on me. Arya fighting scenes, though well done, they feel repetitive. I liked the theatre scene, but I would have loved to see Arya disguised, as a wink to Mercy. I didn't quite understood why to introduce in Meereen a red priestess from Volantis. I can't recall people in Meereen were particularly into the Red Lord, and I get the feeling a second (Red) High Sparrow plot arising in Meereen. The iron born. It was nice the Yara and Theon interaction, Alfie Allen is incredibly talented. I feel disappointed with show Euron. He's not macho brute like Vicky, nor mysterious and savage like bookEuron. But I'm still giving him a chance. The wall was ok, but I would have just killed Littlefinger there... I'm still not grasping the logic of the show character... The final was amazing, and yeah, Summer's suicide was a blow, but Bran sacrificing Hodor to save Meera and his own ass was... crude. I loved how the scene was presented. The weirwood with the rocks arranged in a spiral as a sacrifice place gave me the same feeling I had the first time I watched as an unsullied the first scenes of GoT 101. The suspense was awesome.

Yeah, overall GoT is a hell of a series. You can easily see the quality of its production, and all the hard work behind it. People giving it a 1 have their expectations up in the stratosphere. If we jugde the series by its own, with plotholes and all, it's still worth watching even after 5 seasons. Think of how many series drop quality and seem "lost" in the plot after some seasons, and when they reach success, producers try to keep airing episodes so the money machine doesn't stop cashing, even if it's a shadow of what it was in the first seasons. Is got the same as the first seasons? Well no, but quality hasn't dropped: Hardome and Castle Black are two episodes that show that. People rating with a 1 are just angry that George hasn't written the book yet and GoT ain't satysfying their cravings for a closure to their fav characters. Some other people instead of complaining, have just opted to drop the show at once. Others, like me, just bitch here because it's one of the few places where there are a lot of people who have read the books and can discuss freely. That doesn't make it a bad show even if I sometimes just hate what I see. And even bad shows and films can end up being misundertood by a generation and becoming of cult years later... just saying

An 8. Though the Stark reunion had a 10 in itself. I was screaming like a bitch in that scene as soon as the horn blew out. I thought that any other Stark kid reunion in the story was gonna be like Jon missing Bran in Queen's Tower: a near encounter. So I was really glad that the show gave us the joy of having Jon and Sansa together again. Theon was on point, very intense scene with her sister. I wonder how he will be received by Euron/Vicky (I guess this new character will be a combination of both)... Tyrion stuff was puzzling but interesting how it will play out in the long term. Osha's death seemed like a quick exit for the character. Both my mom and I thought the actress looked pregnant. Maybe it looked to us pregnant because of the way she was standing in that tunic. That would explain her character immediate death (though in got you don't need too much of an excuse to have a character, even an important character, killed). The Danny stuff was ok, not very thrilled. I guess I wanted her to outwit the kahls and getting dosh kaleens to her side in a more elaborated way, no mere magical force, look I'm the unburnt. For instance, we have already seen after she walks out of the pyre in the first season that though what remained of Drogo's khalassar was impressed by her magical saving, a lot scattered. The third season episode when we first get the taste of Dracarys will remain one of her best scenes, when she uses both wits and force (and dragons) to solve her situation. Overall the best episode so far in the season.

I was praising him . Definitely he's gotten better, specially it was seen in the last two battle scenes (Castle Black and Hardome) where he showed great skill, and seems more on point with the character. But I still don't like him as Jon Snow .

An 8! I really liked it. Far better than last week's. I liked that they reintroduced Sam and Gilly. I didn't recognised Gilly at first and thought it could be Dusky Woman and Euron. TOWER OF JOY!! Good good. I watched this episode in a low qualitity, and recollecting I kinda mistook a lot of characters. For a second example, the first sight we get of Arthur Dayne I thought it was Jaime and I said "oh... how are they plannning to make it work in the plot?" (I thought the first blondie honing the sword was Arthur). I liked it how they depicted it, and yes we all know "it was not like the book", but it was really well executed. I agree that young Ned actor seemed a bit off character, but then I remebered it's supposed to look like Ned is just a brat put in a bad position. KIng's Landing very interesting too, I liked that the little birds are shown Kinda have forgotten who was sitting as a hand of the King, so it was nice that they remembered me that Kevan was still around. Isn't it a bit off that he's so bitch cold to his nephew and niece? I mean, he has to put away Cersei, but slighting her and Jaime in front of the Tyrells... I can be missing something but I don't remember Kevan being so much of a traitor to the Lannister cause. I liked a lot how Tommen is depicted, being weak while trying to demand or negociate, comparing him to the conversation between Umber and Ramsay, where you can see a totally different attitude. Winterfell: as said above, awesome scene. What did Osha feed Rickon with? Is he the same actor? Wow, puberty hit hard the Stark kids... I want to believe it's a ruse, but where the fuck can you find a head of a direwolf to pretend it's shaggydog's?? It can't be like all those dwarves' heads sent to Cersei... I'm a skeptic to the wall scenes, and I dislike Kit as Jon Snow, but his lines were good, and he's doing a good job looking like someone who's just returned from death. (Those weasel's eyes moving constantly in fear and distrust). Meereen was boring, including Tyrion. The Khaleesi was just fine, nothing outstanding.

A 6. It's hard to downvote a GoT episode, even if I didn't quite like it. What made it good: -The King's Landing stuff, overall entertaining and thrilling. -Tyrion, as always, is a pleasure to watch his scenes. -Euron showing up, just about time. Though the rest of the Iron Islands scenes were meh. -Bran's past visions were interesting. The not so well things: -Jon's stuff was boring, I agree with @Metopheles. I knew what was going to happen, was dull, and not surprising at all. I even wished he would wake up in a more wight-ish manner or something to make it more interesting... -The Ramsay stuff: gruesome. I'm glad they didn't linger with the camera at the baby slaughter. It was obvious what he pretended to do since he killed Roose, and though I usually enjoy Ramsay scenes, oddly I felt repulsed by this scene. So maybe it really achieved its goal.

Yes I have. I do not predict the future, though, and what will HBO do with all the plots is merely a guess. I have reasons to believe that myrcella is living through the next season, just as Jon and Stannis are too, despite the cliffhangers. Whether HBO discards all the material or uses all the time building myrcella's character to move the plot at kl is beyond me right now, tbh, but that's my opinion.

A 7. Big season finale for the unsullied, but it was kinda meh overall. Again, I liked the Dorne stuff, weirdly... Myrcella is building up as an interesting character for next season, so fine. WoS, Battle o Winterell, Arya's scenes, Dany's encounter with the Dothrakis, even Jon's stabbing, were all ok, but not stunning. I think I expected more, but I have to admit there wasn't much thrill in this episode. This chapter was in accord the whole season: had its moments, but it was not the best HBO can manage.

An 8. I really liked how it began, but the ending was quite disappointing. Even the Dornish stuff was nice, and plot coherent.

9/10. Hardhome was AMAZING. This scene made up for all the season so far, imo. Well acted, neat special effects, coherent plot twists!!! I think this was the one of best fight scenes in Got. Arya as Lanna (wink to the sailor's wife?) was great, the same as Headey's scenes. Loved to see Cersei kissing the floor :p Winterfell was fine too, that Roose-Ramsay interchange was quite special. We're not getting the Bael plot for sure, but we'll have Ramsay infiltrating Stannis flanks? Interesting. Is it me or Danny has bags under her eyes? Is it on purpose, a make up trick, or poor Emilia Clarke got a hard time during this scenes? Either way, I thought it very fitting because it shows Danny's weariness as a ruler. Dinklage acting was great too. Good there was no sand snakes around.
