  1. Not Frank at all. He is a living legend, or was. Brother of Aegon, who stepped aside for the good of the realmost which is what Tyrion is suggesting might be her best move in the short term. How could he not mention that her own relative and last living relative was so selfless.
  2. I'm not usually critical if mistakes by the showrunners but word of Maester Aemon's death apparently already received by Tyrion in Mereen? He told Dany she is the "last living Targareyen". Strange considering he met Aemon and got on rather well with him. A history buff like Tyrion isn't likely to forget mentioning someone like Aemon Targareyen especially considering he spent time with him
  3. Btw no Pyp and Grenn means we get way more Jon/Stanis and Jon/Red Lady scenes next season :)
  4. What's up with Jon being the guy to initate the dishonorable parlay and attempt to kill Mance? Jon has Stark blood and him coming up with that scheme is so out of character!
  5. The pardon wasn't 3 years late nor from Robert Baratheon but was rather a cunning Tywin Lannister removing one of Dani's two seasoned Westerosi advisers by exposing his past transgressions. They talked about her a couple episodes back in a session of the small council and Tywin was informed that she has able advisors at her side. In classic Tywin fashion he sent a letter in a dead man's name that he knew would drive a wedge in her advisors and of course Poor Robert Baratheon will get the blame for the exposing of Norah while Tywin keeps his hand clean like he did with the red wedding by letting the hate fall mostly on the Frey's
  6. Honestly my friend after last week's corrective surgery on Theon a leech on your junk seems about as bad as a case of blue balls.
  7. I've read up to page 9 of the comments and I'm a little suprised that the Stannis/Davos/Melisandre scenes aren't getting the credit they're due. We finally got to see a well done scene between Davos and Stannis that shows the fantastic relationship that exists in the book. Season 2 never captured it, the scene on the boat where he's named Hand was done quickly and stressed more why Davos is referred to as the onion knight andbwhy Stannis knighted him. The dungeon seen tonight showed how Stannis recognizes he needs our Onion Knight's counsel. That even after Stannis' royal pardo Davos still threw in a jab at Melisandre with "I'll still speak against her" was icing on the cake!!! Dragonstone for the win tonight!
  8. So you're saying Sam and Bran don't meet? How would Sam find his way under the wall without Coldhands?
  9. Yeah that's true. Apparently Howland Reed and Ned Stark were quite close as well because in the books Meera and Jojen seem to know a lot of the rumours/tales about Ned that they tell Bran who was left clueless to what seems to be some of the better known Westeros celebrity gossip. Especially regarding Ashara
  10. Are we gonna get the Tywin stare of death at Joffrey and subsequent verbal smack down of his grace the mad king Joffrey? That was poetry in the books. Not sure if that was post or pre-RW
  11. This is just a theory and perhaps a poor one. But could we have a situation where Shae helps Sansa escape after PW. Presumably this would be her following Ros's last words to her to look out for Sansa and Shae figuring LF is now her last option and she takes Dontos place? It would allow the writers to recreate a book scene without new characters and leave Tyrion and Tywin to have more dialogue in their final scene right?
  12. Not weird at all. I think it's awesome we get Reek/Theon Ramsay action that we only read about in past-tense in ADWD. Lots of stuff that was only hinted at in ADWD which is a screenwriters wet dream in regards to Theon. Reek reek, rhymes with I'd like some more of these twisted scenes every week :)
  13. I think we're gonna have a secret pledge between the Lannisters and Tyrells to deal with one wedding at a time and once the first KL wedding is over, well we know Cersei won't be as constrained as she is now ;)
  14. Btw that beauty clocked in at an awesome runtime of 59 minutes!
  15. One thing that saddens me a bit is in the book I remember Davos was made hand of the king after rotting in the cell in a very moving way which made you like Stannis way more. That was my favorite Stannis/Davos scene in any of the books. But seeing as they already made him hand in season 2 en route to Blackwater Bay I think the powerful scene that will emerge from Stannis and our Onion Knight's renuion will be a Maester's letter bearing tidings from the wall perhaps read with the Onion's newly acquired reading comprehension?
  16. Don't they touch on the games the bastard played with Theon in ADWD? Letting him escape, capturing him, etc.? Theon is one of the best POV's in ADWD so I think it's awesome we're getting a screenwriters adaptation of things that we only read about in past tense in that book. Reek, Reek. rhymes with Theon and Bolton Bastard on HBO every week!!!
  17. They can't add episodes as that's just not how it's done in Hollywood. Everything is negotiated, decided upon and allocated with time, budget beforehand. Shows are bought by the season with a set number of episodes usually. We are however going to have almost an extra episode of GOT this season as they announced last year during production that episodes will run longer equaling something like a 40-45 minute longer season this time around. If they could only cut down on the credits, which they aren't allowed to, they could squeeze more in but so many people work on the show in so many locations that the credits are longer than most shows both the opening and closing ones
  18. That's a big detail in the book. Doesn't Davos read Sam's plea for help which then leads him to convince Stannis in moving to divert his forces north to the wall?
  19. I was under the assumption that one of the bigger climaxes this season along with RW will be the defense of Castle Black? I assumed the season would end with Stannis joining the battle triumphantly much like Tywin did in Blackwater with Jon Snow holding out as long as he can much like Tyrion last srason with Stannis replacing Tywin as the conquering hero. Anyone else think this is likely?
