  1. Like others, I thought that this season had some good concepts but failed to execute properly. Sansa in Winterfell: I loved the idea of it, but they didn't give Sansa enough power. I can see why they didn't bring in the Northern Lords, because it might have actually made Sansa too powerful, but they could have given her 100 Arryn guards or something as her personal protectors. It would have provided for plausible protection for LFs investment and would have been enough people to give her the ability to do anything to avenge her family. D&D could have had the Boltons murder her guards at the wedding or something if they felt the need to make her totally powerless. Jaime in Dorne: The Dorne storyline was like a decent episode of Xena. It could have been a lot cooler. They should have kept the Queenmaker plot, it was the best part of Dorne in the books. The Wall: Was good Stannis: The burning of Shireen happened a little too soon. I don't get how Stannis is supposed to be the best commander in westeros according to LF, because he's always losing Meereen: Better than the books Arya: Not enough time to do the arc justice. Cersei: They nailed it with how they developed her character
  2. I don't think they're going to do the whole Rocky-training-montage with her. I wouldn't be surprised if she is done with the faceless men by the first two episodes of next season. I think there's a possibility that she could take down Trant this season. I think it she does, she lies about doing it and gets away with it because she masters lying. If she doesn't do it, she'll do it next year and it will be her ticket our of Braavos.
  3. Where is the build-up to Jon marching on Winterfell, though? He hasn't attempted to do anything against the Boltons and I'm pretty sure the show didn't even bring up the 'if Stannis is at the Wall that means Jon is against the throne' angle. I guess Sansa could send a raven to the Wall but having Jon immediately rush to her aid would be inconsistent the character that the show-runners have made him out to be. He hasn't been involved in the politics of the north at all to this point.
  4. Jon will p They'll probably have Jon forgive him right before he blacks out or whatever
  5. I'm 100% sure that Arya kills the insurance guy I'm 100% sure that she tells a lie in her own self-interest that Jaqen won't detect, completing that portion of her training I'm 50% sure that lie is about killing Meryn Trent I'm 100% sure that she moves onto the next stage of the process He probably knows that she will never become no one. I'm not convinced it's because they're friends. There's an ulterior motive.
  6. Jon is going to do 2 things before this season ends: Send Sam and Gilly to Oldtown now that Maester Aemon is gone Get stabbed by Olly, sans conspiracy from the rest of the NW members. I don't really see a coordinated assissination attempt against Jon. My guess is that Olly just walks up to him and stabs him, and maybe that emboldens some of Jon's enemies to do the same. This season hasn't shown Jon making tons of plans or the NW increasing resistance to them.
  7. I hope you're wrong...Val is probably my favorite character in the wildling group.
  8. Mostly it was how he was talking about bold women going after him. After the way the QoT was talking about vigorously coupling with Mace's dad (I forget his name) it just struck me that I could see a young Aegon being attracted to someone very smart and bold in that fashion, a la QoT. It's thin, obviously, was just my gut instinct.
  9. Did anyone else get the sense that when Aemon Targaryen was talking about the girl that he loved that it was the Queen of Thornes?
  10. Agreed about Jon. I think they'll simply proclaim him LC after the attack is done and skip the business about Sam rigging the election.
  11. I don't think they know yet. They said that the Ironborn were leaving the North in droves. My guess is that Balon is dead, only the Ironborn captains know about it right now, and we'll all find out later. Balon death won't be onscreen.
