Hello everyone, I'm a new member to the forum but have been lurking around the last two years. Please be gentle if my english is clumsy: I'm from Germany and better in understanding than in speaking. I began reading ASoIaF (german translation) in 2010 and loved the story from the beginning even if I have been not always happy with everything Martin does. The first season of the TV-Adaption "Game of Thrones" I saw too, but I have to say that I'm very sceptical towards it, especially towards the seemingly urge to show even more savagery then written down in the books and towards the changes in the story. So I don't watch it anymore. My favourite characters surely are *squints at the Username* Brienne and Arya, but I love the stories of many of the others, too. This forum I do like because it's a fountain of knowledge and theories - exciting, instructive and sometimes even annoying... :cool4: Glad, to be here with you!
