Fire and Blood!
Unmentioned, so far, AFAIK:There are plenty of ASOIAF names that can pass for normal in a short form:Stan=StannisDave=DavosNed=EddardCat=CatelynTy=Tyrion, Tywin, Tyrek, etc.Mel=MelisandreJack=JhaqenGreg=GregorSandy=SandorI could go on and on and on... I'd say more like Stannis=Stanislav and Gregor=Grigor. Also Sandor(though pronounced Shandor) is a very real Hungarian name.
Tynned Lannistark
Khaleesi Kardashian! I could totally see that. :agree:
Ser Arys Redshirt
Heh, thanks for the perspective, Fire And Blood. Yup, Sandor totally works in Hungarian. A lot of the other names are more common over in Eastern Europe, like you say. In English-speaking countries, we're conditioned to consider Robb, Ned, Jon etc. more 'normal' names than Sandor (with that slurry s) or Grigor(y), but that's not the case everywhere, is it?
