Gibzit
The Stormlands is the only region without a fleet (except Dorne) and I never really understood why.The Stormlands don't have a shortage of wood, but the Iron Islands do and they have the largest fleet of all. The Stormlands are half Islands, even lords like Tarth and Estermont which live on islands don't have any ships, did I miss something? Why don't they build a fleet with all the wood they have? A Bastard Snow
I would imagine because they never needed to.In recent years the house was tied by blood to the Targs who had dragons and a fleet. Then after the rebellion their lord Robert was King so they still had the Royal Fleet. Lord Freypie
Stormlands. Explains all. They don't really need a fleet to protect their coast. + Renly/Stannis father died to a storm on a boat in view of Storm's end, may not have been a big incentive to invest in a fleet. Bright Blue Eyes
They have ships. What they lack is a similar naval force to the Arbor, the Iron Islands and the Crown. Which is explained by the storms of the Stormlands and the lack of good harbors.
