Yrael Posted September 17, 2007 Share Posted September 17, 2007 I cringed when I read the subject of the topic. I don't think you can say that someone SHOULD like a book. Tastes are subjective. You can not like a masterpiece without being ignorant. What would make you ignorant is not recognizing that the book is a masterpiece, but as to not liking it, perfectly acceptable. And what makes a book a masterpiece anyways? --Now, I never managed to get into Bakker, Lynch, Bradley or Zelazny, and all of them are "acclaimed" fantasy authors. *shrugs* Does that make me shallow or ignorant?
