AxB
I was thinking, with the majority of the announced cast being British, and the fact that a lot of the casting was supposed to be centered on getting Britsh actors in, it's fairly obvious that the Westerosi are going to be talking in British (or Western European) accents - in keeping with the paralells between Westeros and Medieval England (and France and Spain, for the reach and Dorne). But that does raise the question of what people from the Free Cities talk like. Now you might look at the geography and say Swedish, Danish and German, or you might look at the culture and say Mediterranean countries like Morocco, Egypt, Turkey and Greece. Or you could pull things out of left field and give them all North American accents. Like this:Braavos - BostonPentos - PittsburghNorvos - New JerseyLys - LousianaMyr - MinnesotaLorath - Los AngelesTyrosh - TennesseeVolantis - VirginiaQohor - QuebecThinking about it... no, not really. Knight o' Pansies
Link please. Is that directed at me? If so: Crackpottery at its best.Though TBH I feel ashamed at equating this current topic to crackpottery, it's just a less than common(sense) suggestion.
