Kalam Mekhar
If I had to guess, I'd say most are from Amsterdam or Rotterdam. :thumbsup:There's more to reality than meets the normal eye...;)

Kaitscralt
They can cast whoever for Stannis, Mark Strong will always be Stannis to me lol.I would have loved this, my girlfriend and I were just remarking how perfect of a Stannis Mr. Strong is. Oh well, I am still very pleased with their decision.
Blaine
I have to say that I'm almost as thrilled about both of these choices as I was for Dinklage and Bean.Great job, casting people! Bring on Season 2!
Ishuäl
Visually (which is all I can say for now, never having seen anything starring them) they look like splendid choices. Can't wait!
Cop out
Am so happy with Carice van Houten as Melisandre. Saw Black Death and that makes me think she will be great for the role.
julandro
Stephen Dillane is a great actor. I really like your choice. But I am amazed that the series does not have picked a known actor. I guess the budget is very tight.
Ishuäl
But I am amazed that the series does not have picked a known actor. I guess the budget is very tight. If you compare it to True Blood, for example, you basically have the same thing. I get that big names draw a bigger audience, but personally, I like watching shows where there's a lot of lesser known talent around, it often turns out brilliant. With Sean Bean it was funny though, when I first heard about it I always thought that I would make the link to Boromir in my mind, but now it's more like when I watch LotR I go "Hey, look, it's Eddard!" ;)
scotcat
They're both very good actors and it helps that - in my opinion at any rate - they look the part. HBO seem to be doing rather well with their casting - so far!
Swordswench
Carice has a wonderfully Garbo-esque look to her. Dillane looks about like I picture Stannis -- he's got that blandly severe thing going on.
uncle fester
Not wild about the casting of Carice van Houten to be honest. She looks good and with make-up will look even better but acting-wise, she was a bit wooden in Black Book and playing Melisandre requires that she be terrifying, not be terrified.
