ASoIAF Framed Art

Recommended Posts

I just had a painting framed of a commissioned piece I asked Ted Nasmith to create for me, East-Watch By The Sea, and I believe it came out quite nicely. Also I took a photo of the Kings Landing Litho I purchased a few years ago (I own #50/50).

Those are both fantastic, particularly Eastwatch (though the map certainly has its charms).

I actually just ordered a litho of Mike Miller's "And Rhaegar Died" which was my first favorite Ice and Fire Art, and my erstwhile wallpaper for many months.

Will try and post a photo once I have it framed. Probably late August/early September.

Don't forget that Ted Nasmith is the commissioned artist for two mammoth future A Song of Ice and Fire publications:

1) The World of Ice and Fire

2) The Winds of Winter (Subterranean Press Deluxe Edition)

Ted is the master landscaper of Middle-earth and the rest of Tolkien's Arda; and now, he is quickly becoming known as the same for George's World of Ice and Fire. He is also my favorite artist, so I am obviously excited to the max about these future books.

Did not know this, and had to go look up some of Nasmith's non building work. I am now excited. Is the World of Ice and Fire actually a real thing? Hasn't it been in the works for about the same amount of time as Dance?

Yes, there is a sub-forum dedicated to it. I am hopeful that it will be this huge monsterous thing, of course; though I am certain it will also be an excellently organized concordance from George's memory and manuscripts, this website's archives and the masters of this website, Elio (aka Ran) and Linda.

I may have been in error about The Winds of Winter. I am certain he is doing a future Subterranean Press illustrated deluxe edition release of A Song of Ice and Fire, but it could actually be the new illustrated deluxe of A Game of Thrones. Either way, I am sure he will make eye candy.
