Winds of Winter timescales

Do you guys know, or has it been posted about anywhere else, what kind of timescales TWoW will be based around? Are we talking 1-2 years of development, or do you think George RR Martin might try to stretch it out to 3-5 years?

For me if he stretches the timescale out, then it brings in a lot of potential for characters who are currently very young (e.g. Rickon, Mance's son) to develop more and possibly even have PoVs.

Each of the previous books has covered 6-9 months (with Feast and Dance overlapping quite heavily), so I assumed it would stick to a similar formula. Give that Martin abandoned his planned five year time jump, I doubt he'll try and weasel it back in.

At the wall I feel it will be right after Jon's murder, but the other areas I would say at most a day or two.

There has to be some kind of time jump because then we could have a whole book regarding arya's training.

agreed with bolton here ...arya has to finish her traning and kill someone finally ( i know she's a psyco and kills at least 1 person/book)

but i ment someone that deserves it for once :P

With what she has been through it is enough she is not in an asylum :P
