Legitimate Businessman
Why did they cast someone so old and unattractive?Catelyn in the books is a real beauty, second only to Cersei. She is also a lot younger. Came across as a real disappointment
ebevan91
The characters are older in the show. It would look weird seeing Robb that looks like he's in his 20s with a hot mom. Of course, I do have friends with hot moms but still. You'd think a woman with 5 children would look older.
Nezzer
1. She's older than in the books. Not much older, probably less than 5 years older.2. Medieval times IRL were harsh. People aged much faster, and the ones past their 30s used to look 10 years older than in present times. The same must apply to that world.3. Giving birth five times can mess you up pretty bad.Bu yeah, she could be better looking.

Also I suppse because they wanted Sean Bean and needed a lady who was similarly aged.
georgiatargaryen
She's older to fit the show, but I think Michelle is beautiful. This is kind of a rude topic?
Angalin
Members of the cast, crew and production team visit this site; knocking someone for physical appearance is viewed as a personal attack on another boarder and is not appropriate. If you have something constructive to say about an individual actor's actual performance, that's one thing, but complaining because the onscreen character doesn't look like the one in your head is not going to win you any points here.
