HBO Renews Game of Thrones

Westeros

Game of Thrones is leagues ahead of any other show at the moment. The only show at its level is Breaking Bad. If you ask me, they've managed to make it better with each series. Plot lines got much better in season 3 and gained vast numbers of viewers. Plus they tweaked it round the edges e.g Tyrion's accent was much more convincing.

From an unsullied perspective, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the nudity. By no means is it getting worse. I saw less nudity in season 3 than 1+2. The only scene that really sticks with you is the cave scene and that was a crucial plot line. To those complaining about the torture pornesque Ramsay/Theon scenes, sometimes events need to be exxagerated on screen to give the same shock value as in the books. On paper, you don't need to describe events in horrific detail to get the reader's imagination to picture the gore. On screen there's no imagination involved, you NEED to show the violence.

If you ask me, the show have managed to cut down nudity and violence to exactly where it's necessary in character development. I didn't really have a problem with it anyway. If you do, I think you need to find a new show. At the end of the day the story is set in a medieval sort of era where violence was much more rife.

See, you have to keep in mind we unsullied don't have a clue what's coming next so we don't really care about how much the plot is changed as long as it makes a good story. If you stop trying to draw lines between what should/shouldn't have happened in the series in comparison to the book, I'm sure you'll enjoy it much more. And you have to acknowledge that the majority of GoT viewers are unsullied. For example, the unsullied viewers generally liked the season 3 finale because we didn't expect the Tywin/Jeoffrey scene, the Stannis scene, or Jon getting struck with the arrows. Book readers wanted that and more because that's how the book tells the story, such as Lady Stoneheart, so you're bound to be disappointed.

Here's to 8 long seasons of Game of Thrones!
