L’Age d’or Posted April 12, 2013 Share Posted April 12, 2013 The Iron Throne is supposed to be a very uncomfortable seat to remind the king of his responsibilities so he doesn't get too comfy on it. The fact that it regularly pokes and stabs those who sit on it has been mentioned in the books numerous times. Some even say one of the reasons Aerys became worse and worse was getting cut by the sword tips often, Robert also complains about it a few times as well. So it makes it hard for me think D&D simply forgot to include this in the show, it's a big let down IMO. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
