Lightbringer theory

Recommended Posts

The original story of in the forming of lightbringer was that Azor Asai needed to forge a hero's sword. He labored for thirty days and thirty nights until it was done. However, when he went to temper it in water, the sword broke. He was not one to give up easily, so he started over. The second time he took fifty days and fifty nights to make the sword, even better than the first. To temper it this time, he captured a lion and drove the sword into its heart, but once more the steel shattered. The third time, with a heavy heart, for he knew before hand what he must do to finish the blade, he worked for a hundred days and nights until it was finished. This time, he called for his wife, Nissa Nissa and asked her to bare her breast. He drove his sword into her breast, her soul combining with the steel of the sword, creating Lightbringer.

Beric Dondarrion was dead but he had the ability to bring back someone by sacrificing himself for that person. He brought back Lady Stonehart. Lady Stonehart should have that same ability since she was dead. She will bring back the sword Lightbringer back to life by sacrificing her own life. Lightbringer doesn't need to be reforged, just reignited. Life for a life. The new Azor Asai will drive the sword into Lady Stonehart's heart and reignite the fire. Note: her name is stone-hart, a wet stone for a heart. Poetic no?

that would be an accurate transition for storyline. Catelyn who admits she despises her so called "bastard" son, somehow they'll forge a love connection between them and then she ll sacrifice her saved soul for Lightbringer. It think it would be better than a Danny - Jon sacrifice confrontation because it is too much forseable and anticipated

I really think Dany would be the most likely to be Azor Ahai. "Azor Ahai shall be born again amidst smoke and salt to wake dragons out of stone". Dany was in the desert surrounded by sand(salt?) in a pyre that gave off quite a bit of smoke im sure. Her dragons came from fossilized eggs(stone?). Is it too far fetched that her dragons could be light bringer? They do seem to be a critical threat to the others. And as for the sacrifice of someone loved, Dany did sacrifice Khal Drogo who was technically still alive..

also, about Dany being Azor Ahai, they literally do say that the years have turned the eggs to stone which she then awakens. Also, would Lady Stoneheart count as being "alive" or would she be like Coldhands and have lost her actual life.

i definitely think its too far fetched for Dany's dragons to be "Lightbringer". read the prophecy, lightbringer is the SWORD OF HEROES. it is a sword and nothing else. either way i still think Jon or Dany could be AA

jon who is now most likely dead at Castle Black - can now be "reborn".

dany who was born at Dragonstone and did wake dragons out of stone.
