Maxpey
This topic is actually pretty ridiculous.I invite you, to go to a toddler group and teach them useful leadership skills and wish you a lot of success with it...This is simply an exaggeration to get his point across. It might not have been clear by my post, but I wasn't saying that Varys literally started training (f)Aegon to be a great leader before he could walk; rather, how old was (f)Aegon when Varys came up with his plan and then took custody of him. Maxpey
I really don't think GRRM considered people reading it that closely—by that I mean you can't really base the reality of a characters background off something that small. And "before he could walk" could simply be figurative. You may be right. I am just throwing the idea out there for consideration.
Jon of the Dead
Well, Varys never said he himself shaped Aegon Also, shaped doesn't necessarily mean training, it could just be that everyone was aware of Aegon's status as Rhaegar's heirI think this is just Varys lying. By saying Aegon was shaped before he could walk, then one thinks, "oh, that's right, because he was Rhaegar's son, obviously everyone had especial care regarding him"
