Lord Rhaegel Tarly
In 'A Feast for Crows', the Kingsmoot is (basically) only called because all the Ironborn believe Theon to be dead. Considering that Victarion is very religious and hates Euron, if he finds out that Theon is alive when/if he returns from Meereen, would he support him as his liege lord/king? Ser Greg of House House
I don't think he would like it. But I suppose he would think it's better to have Theon than Euron. Specially if the Damphair supports Theon, I guess Vic might support him, Anyway, I don't want to see Theon as King/Lord. And even if that ever happens, I believe Vic will be dead by then. Victarion Chainbreaker
I think in the end he would be dutiful, but he wouldn't like it.
Lord Reaver
Quite clearly, yes. The first thing Vic does when arguing with his captains over whether to go claim the Seastone chair is to bring up Balon's sons and daughter. He is at first reluctant even to run against his hated brother, Euron, on account of his claim being better (being the elder). He certainly would have stood aside to Balon's own son, had he thought him alive.

Victarion Chainbreaker
They would not kneel to a eunuch. That particular disfigurement is still unknown to the Ironborn.
Lord Rhaegel Tarly
They would not kneel to a eunuch. He's only a eunuch in the TV series.
Lord Reaver
No he wouldn't.He wants to seat the seastone chair. Not at all. Vic is reluctant to make his play for it on the Kingsmoot. His captains basically have to convince him to go. If there was anyone he even felt remotely qualified to sit the Chair other than himself, he would be glad to. Vic's nature is being a dutiful follower, not a leader.
Slender Aimry Hill
I do wish Martin, or Theon, had paid Vicky more attention in ACoK! They met and spent some time together, but at that point V was such a Kevan-esque, obedient cipher that you'd barely remember it.
nastydream
He's only a eunuch in the TV series. It is implied a lot of times in the books.
Lord Reaver
It is implied a lot of times in the books. Not really, there are some passages one could interpret that way, but that isn't the only way to read them.

I said implied not 'said clearly'. That's kinda the point of implied.

No Song so Sweet
It is not clear if he is a eunuch or not, but he definitely is a broken shell of a man and unable to be a king. Victarion wouldn't be his kingmaker unless he was planning on actually ruling in Theon's name or instead of him, Theon ruling only in name. Slender Aimry Hill
If I'd been writing Clash, I would have given Theon a touch more of a break back there on the Isles. But I would have been wrong, thinking about it. It's a nice Martin touch that though the ingredients are actually separately there to give him an okay homecoming, they can't come together. His sister has affection for him, deep down, but is his political rival. His favourite uncle has become a religious maniac. His other uncle may tacitly allow him loyalty but stays too bloody tacit about it. His mother loves him but is insane and elsewhere. The Botleys seem to support him a bit but he's not politically sophisticated enough to notice. His honorary uncle Dagmer is kind of a has-been. And his real father has become his most implacable opponent. Making Aeron still jolly, or rolling Dagmer and Vicky into one uncle as I would have been tempted to do, would have weakened, I suppose, the impressive level of cruel irony here... Bright Blue Eyes
Post-Kingsmoot? Probably not. The succession has been resettled, Victarion would either go for Euron's heir or try to start another Kingsmoot.
horizon
If Theon was around there would be no need for a Kings Moot and Theon would rule and Victarion would follow. He is that kinda of dude. Then Euron would make sure Theon dropped onto a cliff.... and we'd have a kings moot...
Lord Reaver
Post-Kingsmoot? Probably not. The succession has been resettled, That's what Urragon Goodbrother thought, and we all know how that turned out.
