Miss Carnahan
“I will permit you to take the black. Ned Stark’s bastard is the Lord Commander on the Wall.”The Blackfish narrowed his eyes. “Did your father arrange for that as well? Catelyn never trusted the boy, as I recall, no more than she ever trusted Theon Greyjoy. It would seem she was right about them both. No, ser, I think not. I’ll die warm, if you please, with a sword in hand running red with lion blood.” This has probably already been discussed, but I couldn't seem to find any topics where this was answered and I'm actually quite curious. I wondered why the Blackfish seems so hostile and quite harsh towards Jon. How does becoming Lord Commander equal taking Winterfell and torching it + killing 2 kids? Is he just trying to fool Jaime here or does he think that Jon made some kind of deal with the Lannisters?
Bright Blue Eyes
Most likely trying to fool Jaime. Robb named Jon his heir, talking about it with the Blackfish quite a bit. That's something the Lannisters shouldn't know, or look to deeply into.
Miss Carnahan
Oh right, I forgot that Blackfish might know about Jon being Robb's heir! Seeing as he's still incredibly loyal to Robb after the RW, it would be very odd if he didn't respect Robb's decision concerning Jon.
Long Live The Onion King
Or it could be the Blackfish sees Jon as representative of Ned cheating on his sister.
Miss Carnahan
I think you mean niece (Brynden is the brother of Cat's father), but that could be possible as well.
Ramsay Gimp
Most likely trying to fool Jaime. Robb named Jon his heir, talking about it with the Blackfish quite a bit. That's something the Lannisters shouldn't know, or look to deeply into. But Robb also named Roose Bolton to lead the Northern foot, and Theon as his envoy, and Brynden knows how that turned out. In other words, he knows Robb has trusted the wrong people. Perhaps he is mistakenly applying this to Jon as well, siding with Catelyn's judgement over Robb's

Bright Blue Eyes
But Robb also named Roose Bolton to lead the Northern foot, and Brynden knows how that turned out. Possible, but I doubt that the Blackfish would give Jaime any useful information instead of deliberately messing with him.
The Santa of House Claus
Yeah, I think the Blackfish was just being rude to Jaime and not giving him anything.
A spoon of knife and fork
Yeah I don't know about whether he knows about the heir but he's clearly trying to belittle and antagonize Jaime here. He easily might not believe a lot of what he's saying.
