prop joe's fingernails
okay so i started watching the first movie and couldnt get into it, seemed a bit too childlike. then i picked up the books and couldbt get past the first page. i feel like i have spoiled this experience by reding asoiaf, im on the second first law book and i get the same feeling, i can still enjoy it but i cant help but miss the epicness that martin writes.so would you recommend me reading lotr? has anyone else had this experience? does anyone know if i can do some 'eternal sunshine of the spotless mind' kind of stuff to help me out? Sorry if you didn't care for it. i havent got into it enough to form an opinion. i just feel like its a step down, is that accurate? I recommend reading the recommendation thread. is there any way of moving the tread or will i have to delete and start again?
Ser Scot A Ellison
No. LOTR is wonderful. Just remember it was written during the 40's and published in 1954. It is not modern Fantasy literature.
